1. eat a big breakfast, but not full of processed crap like poptarts and pastries, etc. Eat eggs, whole grains, and fruits/veggies. if you do this every morning your metabolism will be kickstarted and you will burn more calories throughout the day. this also helps to keep you feeling full until lunch. DRINK LOTS OF WATER.
2. snack lightly between meals, this keeps your metabolism going. Eat stuff like fruit, i prefer apples, and almonds are also a great choice for a healthy snack. DRINK LOTS OF WATER.
3. for lunch make sure to eat some good proteins like chicken or turkey, get your whole grains in and eat fruits and veggies. i usually make a pesto, turkey, lettuce, onion, tomato sandwich on whole grain bread with an apple on the side. DRINK LOTS OF WATER.
4. You can probably guess what you need to eat for dinner from what i've written above. Make sure to eat good proteins such as chicken, eggs, whole grains, and milk. Don't load up on the carbs unless you know you are going to burn them quickly, because if you don't they'll just turn into fat. Make sure to load up on fruits and veggies. Also, eat a fuckin cookie if you want to eat a fuckin cookie, don't obsess about this too much just make sure to keep your diet consistent with good, healthy foods.
