hard to say. it was nice to see him riding pipe but im left wondering when hes throwing big tricks and hits the deck or lands low is his legs gonna take that? also at the first of the edit on the tramp he's got no shirt on and looks jacked so mabey his whole body is in better shape then before he blew both knees. I def hope he comes back hard and kills the olympics because tanner is the man.

I wouldnt be surprised if he put together a 3 year plan to win gold. Right now hes just getting back into the basics working on conditioning and air awarness. I wouldnt see it as a big deal if he didnt even ski pipe this coming winter, just try to get healthier

After seeing him last weekend at hood, I can assure you he's determined. I have no doubt that he'll put his mind to it, and strive for the Olympics. Everyone's forgetting... Tanner is one of the most talented skiers ever. Being a few years older than the "competition" with the exception of TYW and Chinese (lol) shouldn't be a problem.

Im willing to bet his body can take another 3 years of hitting decks, the inspired windels video when hes tramping he looks jacked as fuck. He wants it bad and if nothing else he will make the olympic team.

I would love to see him take gold and retire from competition (so he can keep shredding the rest of his life on real mountains.)

i dont think this is really realistic. i know hes an amazing skiier but hed have to progress his shit exponentially to catch up to these whippersnappers and their triples. for him to progress that much, and stay injury free, i dont see it happening. i respect the guy a lot tho.

as a freeskier, there has never been a better competitor. Tanner's mental ability to deal with stress and pressure is unparalleled in the sport, even in the 2+ years he's been out of competition.

i realize that halfpipe skiing has seen a a ton of progression with double flips in the last two years - and Tanner has missed out on this - but if his legs and knees are good to go, i think he'll be able to catch up quickly.

i see tanner getting his skills back up to par for a few reasons:

a) he was on top 2.5 years ago before he was injured
b) it's easier to catch up when all you have to do is watch and learn from the progression that has taken place, rather than pioneering new tricks. want proof? take a look at Torin Yater-Wallace.
c) halfpipe training has gotten way easier with the advent of landing on airbags. he can practice doubles till he's got them down perfectly before he has to worry about landing them to snow. he's got the sponsor backing to put the $ toward this.

if his knees and legs can hold up for the next 2 years at the highest level, i think Tanner is a lock to make the team. i'd be so stoked to see him podium at the '14 Olympics with Dumont.

I don't care if he wins, not saying I wouldn't be stoked as all hell if he did, but just seeing that guy out there day after day trying to improve while having as much fun as possible is nothing short of amazing. Tanner lives by his company. He is always inspired for what he does. Hell, the man finds inspiration by just waking up in the morning. There's no doubt if he wants it, he will take it.

For one thing, Tanner is clean now. He is totally commited to pushing himself, and his body to the extreme in both physical ability and health. He does have alot of making up to do with all the progression in the sport, but he is bound and determined...INSPIRED!!
