Yo, anyone here been to Gulmarg? I'm looking at headin there this upcoming season for a few weeks and was wondering what time of year people recommend as I've heard alot of differing stories. Cheers.

An episode of what? I'm pretty sure it's chris aussiwhatisface that had some vids on the old home page. Can't remember his name right now coz I'm inredibly intoxicated. It's either that or Salomon freeski TV. I'm sure they been too Gulmarg at least once. Chur.

Ive wanted to go there ever since Mark Abma's segment in Ski Porn I think. Might have been a different MSP movie.

I know i guy who went there and this is a short list I have comprised from his tellings

1. BE AVALANCH LEARNED: Allegedly it's one of the most prone and dangerous places, and due to the lack of modern rescue procedures it makes it even more crazy.

2. Be a super fit pow skier: Pow gets so deep and light it's dangerous to stop, and there are 0 groomed runs to rest and chill out on

3. Don't use nice skis, apparently it's core shot galore out there

But if you go you will have some killer stories and a great, unique experience!

i guess we only have it in the uk?
its a tv show called focused-behind the lense
they pretty much travel around the world skiing and mountain biking

pretty much in gulmarg the episode show the gondola is closed most the trip, they go jump of a hotel and about 7 guards with ak47's watch them
