it used to do that in my saabaru, the alarm would go off whenever i opened the door. it had to do with 'valet mode' i think. check your manual for how to turn it off. its like a sequence of opening the door, pressing the key fob or some shit like that.
but i've never had more problems with a car than with my saabaru (bought used 80k miles)
replace both front control arms because the cv joints were fucked
replace the clutch (90k miles)
replace the starter
and now im pretty sure my power steering pump or rack/pinion is fucked. im leaking 1/2 a quart of PS fluid every other day. hopefully its just a loose fitting somewhere or an o ring
on the bright side it looks cool
