has anybody else had one? For you who don't know, it's the solution to a referring gumline over a tooth. They take skin from the inside of the roof of my mouth, place it over where it is needed, then cut a massive flap of skin right next to it to fold over on to it. It's an hour long procedure and I'm awake for all of it.
Anybody else have this done before? How bad was it and how long did it take to recover afterwards?

my buddy has had a couple reconstructions done(lippers will fuck you up like that) and he says they are fucking awful. Half his mouth is numb apparently.

No it's not from chewing. I had a embedded tooth in my sinus cavity that I got pulled down about two years ago. There just wasn't enough gum there to completely cover it, so now that I got my braces off, they are adding more gum now so I don't have problems in the future

it's graft and receding but whatever.
I had a receding gum line too but they didn't do the graft. They said it was due to the muscle connecting my lip to gums/teeth was too high, so they cut it and reattached it lower on my gums. painful, long procedure, but the mouth heals really quickly and i felt fine a few days later and haven't had any problems since.

I know nothing about it but it sounds pretty awful, good luck.

I had a couple last summer. It's no worse than a tooth cleaning. Stop worrying.
