Downloading youtube videos

Hey NS,

I want to find a way (or software) to download youtube videos into imovie ready files to put together a little edit. Any hints on how i do this on a mac? I already figured out how to download to finder, but I can't get it to open in quicktime.

http://www.keepvid.com will give you options to download as .flv and .mp4 and multiple quality options (if the video is uploaded in 720p it will give you the option of 720, 360, or 240)

anyone know a video converter which will convert mp4 to mov and not compress the quality? the couple i have tried make a 720p mp4 look like a 240 when its converted.

cool. thanks man. Do i need a different converter like you mentioned to make it compatible with imovie?

imovie is compatible with mp4. i just want to convert to .mov for another purpose
