How to get pictures from a video (Mac)

My guess is this is a huge repost, but I couldn't get anything with searchbar.

All of my video clips are MP4 (from GoPro). So if you guys know any free programs I could get to do this that would be great.

screen capture, or the selectable screen capture is the best. Command + Shift + 4
