so i need some advice, my lady left me for someone else but now we are back together. Can relationships like this work, or are they doomed to fail?

Honestly though, why would you take her back if she left you for somebody else? There is no excuse you can come up with that will make it a good idea. She disrespected you and left you for somebody else, ok fine. end of story.

but then you took her back?

that just tells her that you don't respect yourself and that she shouldn't respect you either. She'll do it again.
