Thought I'd post it here as well... Wanna upgrade to an HVX

Considering upgrading to an HVX200 simply because shooting on a dslr has been pretty tough for me. So I thought I'd put it up for sale.

LOOKING FOR $1,500 SHIPPED FOR EVERYTHING (excluding lenses in the back, unless you want them)!

How do you like the 50mm? I have a stock setup on my t2i right now and I am highly considering it since the price is unreal.

It's awesome. With the t2i and te adapter the crop is like 1.98x so it is more like a 100mm. Which I like. And the bokeh is the shit

definitely dont get an FD mount lens for an EOS camera, the adapters stink and the image is really soft. Get a Zeiss 50 1,7, so sick

The FD's are only soft when the aperture is wide open. When it's at a 2.8, its as sharp as the EOS mount 50mm 1.8.

This video is really informative. It's what swayed me to buy the 50mm

Well right now I'm looking into the 50mm f 1.8 the standard eos mount. Its really cheap and I want to use it for skiing to film on a tripod. Will the crop the FD mount make it harder to film skiing or will that not be a factor?

Like follow cams? If your shooting follows get no more than 24mm, even 24 on follows is pushing it. I like how the fd 50 is more like a 100mm. The 50mm ef kinda sucks on a 1.6 crop in my opinion. Not a really great focal length.

this doesnt make any sense. crop is based on sensor size...

There's an extra lens element in every FD to EOS adapter. It's optical but it "crops" the image about 1.2x and stops down the shot by .6

Dude, that still doesn't make sense. Have you tested it again another 50mm and another 100mm? crop is based on sensor size, the lens projects an image and its always the same and then the crop depends on the sensor.

not always true (think lens distortion, fisheyes, magnifying glasses, etc.) the glass element in the fd adapter slightly enlarges the image.

so basically everything that comes with the body kit. gotcha.

I'd want like 600 for the body kit with no lenses or stabilization, but I'd want to sell later, if I do sell, for when I do have money for another HDDSLR body.

No I got the HVX, but I still use my HDDSLR for many things. The combination of the two is great for what I need. All my glidecam stuff is still done on my T2i just cus I'm a little bitch and refuse to carry and hvx plus a glidecam just because the counterbalancing of the glidecam is like holding 2 hvx's in one hand. idk how heath did it haha
