I want a BMX bike...

I want a BMW bike.

I want to build one for like $700ish tops hopefully.

I want it to be made in America if possible.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Also....what are your thoughts on riding a 24" bmx?

I bought a kink a few years ago, first year it came out....Paid 180 shipped for it because it was the next year models had been released.

Sure, it's not the best bike at the park, but it won't break. I ghost ride it and crash it all the time, I ghost ride flip it, usually resulting in it landing on its handlebars, and it still won't break! Sometimes parts of it break like the handlebars move to the side, and I turn them back around with my hand, because I haven't tightened it. Same with the peg, I can take it on and off by hand because I never tightened it.

I did put a new handlebar on it, bigger, since I'm bigger, which was like 80, and a new seat, but yea get a kink, brand new now for like 400ish, then spend 200 on parts and you have a great set up. The new kinks have came so far!

i dont know shit about top tube lengths but i know that kinks are decent but apparently their paint quality isnt good at all and it will chip in bad places like around your stem making the bars loose. verde makes some nice bikes and i really like mirraco but you have to know an actual store that carries them cause they dont sell online. You should really go onto vital bmx though because they have reviews for pretty much every bike ever made and members comment their ideas about the bikes too.

hell yeah, kinks are legit. i have had one for 6 years and its still in decent condish. only problem is there a little heavy compared to other bikes.

on a side note though, one of my buddies recently got a job filming for their team.

If you want to build a bike i would check out this site http://www.danscomp.com/

I would look at the stock bikes too thought, because you can get a dank stock bike for 700$ i got a stock eastern trail digger for 450$ and it's dope, check out the sunday stock bikes, and the fit stock bikes, because for 700$ you will get a dirty bike, then you can jsut add other components as you go. and if you're going to get a 24' frame i would just get a dirt jumper... when buying a stock bike just make sure their cassette hubs, and all sealed parts, but for 700$ you will get all that plus some really sick components... that's definitely the best website around for BMX i wouldnt try anywhere else, they're really reliable.. and you can make custom rims... you'll get a better bike stock for 700 then you would building your own bike, because you would have to buy a lot of shitty parts to build a bike from 700$ good luck

i ride a 24" mainly because i'm really tall and thought it would be more comfortable, and i like it a lot although it makes some tricks difficult, like turndowns and barspins, because my bars are so short, although i know sunday makes a cuiser that is supposed to have the same geometry as a regular bmx. it also is a little harder to find nice rims for a cruiser, the larger wheels taco easier. i bought a complete felt and the rims were shit and i have had to replace them in under half a year, i recently got odessy hazard lite rims, and they are holding up really well

you can run pegs on a 26er and the frames are generally better than 24s imo, cruisers are just kinda weird i guess haha
