I just saw this in chairlift diaries maybe 2012/2013 nordica skis...TJ pro model?

the skis look sick but in my opinion i feel like they are kind of copying the line octolands from 09 and the moment bibby's from 2 years ago with the little water action scene going on towards the tail

tecnica: cochise pro, 98 last, 130 flex w/walk mode and swappable soles (tech or alpine)
rossi: squad 7, somewhat of a combo between super 7 and rc112
4frnt: hoji, 112 little bro of renegade, cdy (?) 100+ish waist all mountain/touring ski, somewhere between msp/turbo, pretty sure it's replacing the msp.
armada: 5 new skis, can't talk about details, goretex outerwear, sounds like they are going big next year.

if the yle is any indication the elan factory is doing a very good job for them, it is a really well built looking ski. plus that should keep cost down a bit versus building it in SLC. pretty stoked i have a fresh pair of renegades sitting in my closet though!

also, apparently fischer is releasing a touring boot with the vacuum shell, and tyrolia is working on a touring binding which will be similar to the duke & guardian.

fischer touring boot looks like a joke to me, hopefully tyrolia did their research in the binding department, considering the info on it is limited to like one post on TGR as far as i know which only mentions its existence, either it's a long ways off or they are seriously good at containing info.

Chris designs the graphic entirely, "we" Atomic have nothing to do with the graphic. He is also part of Nimbus and close to Pollard, so that they have similar tastes shouldn't be surprising.

The goggle market is extremely over-saturated. No need for new brands, they aren't offering anything that any current optics brand does.

Interesting what 'new' models Armada comes up with.. The ANT will prob get an update..and it will have a lot of marketing blabla around all the 'new' models.. Armada is getting like Salomon to me, only they are made in the Atomic factory and because of that better quality..

First off the ANT no longer exists, even this year.  They are totally new models, sure they may be adapted on what is currently out there with different waist widths, but there are a few that are totally new. And that factory that produces Armada and Atomic is also under contract with Salomon, so they do produce some Salomon skis. I don't get the hate, in my opinion, Armada is a solid company that is just trying to expand, as any company, even your smallest indie company would do if they had a chance.

saw a newer atomic prototype that jossi wells was skiing on. Had punx topsheet's but the shape was EXACTLY like an armada pipe cleaner. Not to mention it's half cap and half sidewall just like armada.... Looks like atomic is starting to realize armada is on their fucking game with their park skis.

Really? I thought the 07 ARG was the first ski with the AR50/Cap sidewall type build.

Anyways I am stoked to hear about touring bindings in development for most of the binding companies, along with more aggressive touring boots. The sidecounrty/backcountry game is definitely moving forward at a crazy pace.
