I just saw this in chairlift diaries maybe 2012/2013 nordica skis...TJ pro model?

^ salomon developed the gaudian binding, but atomic and scott will both have rebranded versions.

Salomon made the Guardian and Scott just rebranded it and Atomic also rebranded it and called it the Tracker.

correction: the Tracker/Guardian was a 50/50 split development between Atomic & Salomon. Any new binding from either will be a collab from the start. Scott is the only brand that will be licensing it.

Hmmm. Thanks. Wish I could make out the specs in the pic. The opus looks like its got a little more sidecut. The increased turning radius would make that thing an absolute one ski slayer. And change in the bacs?

Makes sense. I really wasn't sure how you could possibly top either one. The SFB is the sickest ski I've ever ridden. The opus is leaps and bounds better than the ep pros too. The only change I would recommend is a slightly tighter turning radius. In pow it's a non issue but on groomers it's just noticeable. Maybe take the waist down to 116? That would maybe cancel the need for the SFB though. Still super sick skis. If ya need to get rid of one of those new sets of bacons PM me. LOL. Keep up the good work!

Im not trying to call you out, but everyone I have spoken to at salomon, said it was soley developed by salomon. I spoke to chris the product manager and he said "I (as in me) had as much to do with the development as anyone at atomic" and i had nothing to do with it so.....

No worries, a lot of the Salomon people in Ogden are clueless ;) I am actually really surprised by what they say sometimes...

Tracker/Guardian is a complete 50/50 split in terms of development costs and collaboration between the 2 brands. People from the Amer Binding Development Center (Jan & Magalie) visit Altenmarkt Austria every couple of months and Atomic's team is in Annecy France just as often. I wish Magalie was in Austria more often, she's one of the raddest chicks you'll ever meet.

New bindings for 13/14 will also be 100% co-developed. I, unlike Chris, am actually in those meetings ;)
