Yep, the OC and much of LA is like that. Good call on SD though, it's a great place. The weather is similar to LA and it has the amenities of a big city but it's not full of douches.

It is quite large. Yes there are many rich/stuckup assholes in many places. Other places there are very relaxed chill people. Go to the right places and you will have a good time. wrong places and you will be disgusted.

i went to laguna beach. fuckin beautiful place, nice beach. i met some ass holes but for the most part the ppl i met there were really nice. ya there are a lot of rich fuckin cunts but there are normal, chill ppl as well, so just hang out with them instead, its not a big deal.

took a road trip down there mad years ago. kicked it at laguna beach. met some local rich fucks. hella girlies. check out san onofre (sp?). recommend camping at the state park there. good times.

I have a bunch of friends from school who live in Orange County. They're all pretty much like my friends on the east coast. Active, outgoing, not retarded, down for adventures. But that's not to say everyone there is cool. It's a beautiful place with good food and better weed.

Wow, people in here are pretty idiotic.

Orange county is a fairly wonderful place. Make sure you go surfing in Huntington Beach. You can rent a surfboard/wet suit for something like $20 an hour. Less without the wet suit. The shut down all of main street on tuesdays for a street fair. Pretty amazing time.

Then there is disney land and Knotts Berry Farm. Check to see who is playing at the house of blues anaheim cause it's fun to wander around downtown disney and then go to a good show.

Laguna Beach if you talk to some locals has some really great spots to go cliff jumping into the ocean.

Check out favorite companies to see if they are having sample sales. Pretty much every skate/surf company is out of Costa Mesa/Huntington and going to their shops means cheaper prices. Hurley, Quicksilver, Armada, Oakley, Volcom, Vans... just to name a few.

Make sure to get a sandwich at The Hat.

Make sure to go to Wahoo's Fish Tacos.

You can check out an Angel's game pretty cheap. Usually under $10 for shitty seats.

Favorite American Beer... Firestone Double Barrel Ale. Should be able to find it in Orange County. It's from SLO, CA.

Going to huntington beach to rent a board and learn to surf is horrible advice.


I guess maybe if you stay way way away from the pier.
