FBGMWhen I sat next to an older couple on the plane ride home. I was watching Sunny with no sound because I forgot my headphones. The woman, who was sitting directly to my left, was sort of glancing at my computer screen over my shoulder. Eventually she flashed a huge smile and asked me "are you a skier?" to which I replied "Yeah I am a skier". She asked me if I was in Sunny. I laughed and said no, I'm not that good. She told me I probably am and that I'm well on my way to being in a movie like Sunny.
She didn't say "do you ski?", she said "are you a skier?".
When I walked into the local Rite Aid in my hometown. The cashier gave me a double take when he saw that I was standing in front of his register. Like the woman on the plane, he flashed me a huge smile. He asked me how I was doing in school and how things were going. We talked about his daughter for a minute. He was happy to see me. I was happy to see him as well. Strange to have relationships with people in passing.
It's the little things that get me.
Forgot to add that it was pretty nice that my grandmother was so excited to see me even though she didn't know who I was.
And yeah dude, I love being identified as a skier, not just someone who skis. When someone else says it its so awesome, and this couple was so stoked on it too.
Just went to my new ski hill to pick up my pass. They technically weren't open to the public yet, oops, but they were like two of the nicest people I've met that were working. The lodge is simply incredible. Beautiful log interior with tree trunks as pillars. Wow, just wow. I'm stoked for winter.

That's so exciting! I had a friend who drove up 4 hours just to surprise me here in Bozeman. She goes to school in Idaho, so I stop and see her ~3 times a year. Needless to say it's always cool to hang with those who are close to you.
Had that 2nd interview for wegmans, actually had 2 today so 3 interviews in total..foooorrrrrrrrrrrrrr a cashier job at a grocery store.

theyre probably giving you all these interviews so they can weed out all the other applicants that suck ass. id just keep at it if i were you. just goes to show you are persistent and dedicated to a job, even if its some cashier position.

nah, there just isn't a legit grocery store up here so I have to drive to town every 2 weeks to load up. it works out but i cry a little inside every time i see how much it costs at once. the only stores up here are tiny and have very limited selection and high prices all the time

Super important question: are ski brakes measured at the very top or the very bottom? Because it is a huge difference.. I'm pretty sure evo sent me the wrong brakes with my bindings but I'm not sure! I need helllpppppp

whats your width of skis and the brake width? do you think the brakes are too small or big?

I think they're too big, at the top the brakes are about 105mm. So I thought I got the wrong ones since I ordered 100mm. I got some Punx so they're 84mm

some people just like having the latest technology, whats the issue with that? if they just so happen to make a sacrifice (for instance, your co-worker avoiding her debt which could potentially fuck her over in the long run), then thats their issue, not yours. its not money out of your pocket, or time out of your day, so whats it to ya?

I'm not like pissed off or riled up. I wanted to know what the obsession/appeal is all about. So I asked. I'm not sure why that ruffled your feathers?
(on a side note it actually is money out of my pocket and everyone's, because she has a baby and is on the welfare system...)
but I really wasn't even thinking about that, nor do I care about that-- it wasn't even something I thought about until you posted what you did.
