Boots that fit properly will help alleviate shin bang much more than going to a softer boot. You will definitely lose responsiveness and support when going to a softer boot.
By the way, 90 or even 100 is not considered stiff at all when comparing ski boots.

Yeah, 75 would be softer than 100. The problem would be comparing a 75 flex in one brand to a 100 flex in a different brand.
Some brands use different numbers and scales entirely to measure flex.
And some boots like Dalbello and Full Tilts, you can change the flex of the boots by swapping the tongues to a softer or stiffer tongue depending on what you need.
What's your height/weight/age? Are you still young enough that you expect to grow taller/add weight/have your feet grow?

5'11" 145 and almost 17. I'll probably add weight, but I won't get much taller and Not sure about my feet

I've been skiing them two years now. I didn't have the boot molded to my feet at all, they just measured my feet and gave me that size. Shinbang mostly started this past year, probably because I have been going bigger than I used to, but it may be possible that I outgrew them
I've had such a baller day. Helped out at a volleyball tournament, went to a museum for free, and just finished a nice little ride around town. I'm gonna make some applesauce then go on a hike. I wish every day was like today.
sooooo it turns out my grandpa has been embezzling money from his charity for 13 years and he took almost $4 million. He's losing all his properties (including the house at saddleback I use sometimes in the winter) and maybe going to prison. Word.
