I'm moving into my dorm this weekend. I met my roommates the other day and they're probably the prissiest girls I've ever met. I'm gonna try to be nice to them but I don't know how well this is going to go. Hopefully Its just a bad first impression and they're actually cool but I don't know.

According to the NHS guidelines, potatoes do not count towards your 5 a day. Unless you're talking about the lemon, which is clearly present as much for decoration as for flavour, but it doesn't count anyway.

Don't worry lads and lasses I haven't suddenly become poverty-core. A week or so ago I had no place to stay in A'dam but a friend who just bought a place wanted me as a roommate in exchange for using my copious quantity of festool tools in the renovation. Kitchen was removed first so for a fiver we got that cooking plate that I expertly installed to the gas mainline with tape and tie-rips, if you hear about a massive explosion in Amsterdam, it won't be a terrorist attack, it will be his apartment.
The non-stick is his, the late 80's god mode Sigg Swiss frying pan on the right is mine, I brought it along with my knives and a few Wedgewood plates.

Global GS line, I know, a bit late 80's well-off hausfrau tier but fuck me the design is still gorgeous.
Especially the cheese-knife, I use it for things I shouldn't just because I enjoy looking at it.

I find it amusing when I see cheap (soft) cheese knives that have purely decorative holes in them and are so dull the holes end up grating full of cheese by the end

Ii have a global kknife somewhere, I donn't really use it thoough because I don't like the full metal handle much (at all). It slips too much if my hands get swweatyy.
I have noo regrets abouut buying my 12 inch IO Shen chef's knife purrely because I like the design onn the haandle, I like the mmore handle heavy balancee.

The small Global's are a bit love and hate, I personally prefer how agile and delicate they can cut, but they are definitely not cut out (dat pun) for more brute blunt work.
In the future I probably want to upgrade to some small artisan hand made Japanese piece of Kitchen hardware sex and skip the range entirely in-between Global and that.
