I guess I'm president of usu ski club now. I'm not from around here and don't know the companies in the area or what the ski club has previously done. Going out on a huge whim and pretty blind sided on what to do. I've never even actually participated in a club in highschool. This should be fun.
My best friend is in college 6 hours away, two of my friends got into a bad roll over accident 3 days ago and are still in the hospital, and 3 of my friends got arrested last week and are still in jail. Every single one of my good friends are in such shitty situations right now and I can't do a thing about any of them. It's quite lonely.
I turn 20 in 2 hours, it's honestly such an achievement for me. Four years ago I was severely depressed and fought to make it thru the year, and then two years ago I almost died skiing. I'm beyond proud of myself for fighting on, and making it here today. Here's to a great year, another decade, and beating the odds.

Just got my timetable for this year, somewhere between 9 and 12 hours lectures a week. Doesn't seem that bad, but they're all on Wednesday to Friday. Mondays and Tuesdays have 16 hours in research labs.
Searching for jobs when your only work experience is going with the news paper a few months five years ago sucks. No idea who to put as my reference, would have put some teachers if I were still in school but Im not. Wish I could just explain the situation in the application but I have to fill in at least one reference before being able to send it in. Anyone have any tips on what I can write?

Any teachers you can email? And family friends hold a good job and can be a solid reference if called upon?

Might have to ask some old teachers but since I didn't do super well in school I really wanted to avoid that. Haven't really thought about family friends and my family is really small so not allot of options but I could probably ask my moms guy to be a reference. He has a pretty good job and and I think he is used to hiring people and being reference so since I don't have allot of other options that might be my best bet. Should probably add that Im mostly just applying to fairly shitty jobs (burger king/mc donalds/mail man etc.)

Few years ago 10 Russian sleeper cell agents were discovered in the US, their capture and the use of intelligence is crazy imo. Makes you really wonder how much better the fbi is then you would assume.

What happened was the stick bounced up towards his mouth and when it hit the ground it snapped in half so it was really sharp, it entered toward the front of his mouth under his tongue and went through some tissue and stopped just short of his throat, it went in pretty deep. I wasn't there, but my dad actually had to pull hard to get it out. Pretty gruesome
so now he is all drugged up and moping around the house, He has 2 shaved spots on his back where they put antibio patches or something. When I first got him he was a stray and he needed his spleen removed, after 5 years he still has a bald spot so he will probably look funny for a while

About a year ago my new lab some how found a fish hook in my house even though I have no tackle boxes or poles remotely near my dads house. It took about 3 hours for my dad and I to get the courage to take the fish hook out of her gums. It was between her teeth and everything so when you pulled you could feel it ripping.
Inspired media tour is coming to my uni tomorrow. I'm beyond stoked right now! I'm a little nervous too because I'm socially awkward as fuck haha but tomorrow is gonna be a good time!
