YoungDaphFrom about 2010 on, yes. Before then there were a lot of manuals seeing as its better to tow with one. I'm looking at used trucks and most 2010 and newer are out of my price range. I know ford made a shitload of sticks from '00-'10
why do you think it is better to tow with one? More downshift control? You can manually downshift an automatic. Just curious what you think is better?

I've spent a lot of time towing big loads (everything from a 4 horse stock trailer to my old trainer's 7 horse trailer with living quarters) up mountain roads in colorado and montana and its always been way more comforting to be able to control when i shift. I find that towing on hills with automatics sucks on inclines and really fucks with the fuel economy and the transmission. And it really saves the brakes on downhills being able to use the gears how you want
I mean I guess in some trucks you'd have more power with having more control over shifting, but I haven't noticed less power is my automatic Toyota vs. manual because I can go into 4 on hills. The model of Tacoma (yeah I know, not full size) doesn't even come in a stick.
I bet you'll find exactly what you want though...you may have to travel for it. I had to fly from Seattle to Spokane for my Tacoma.

that's true, I bet downshifting saves your brakes a ton when you have that much weight.
immasI am awful with coffee. It makes me either sick or hyper beyond all ready, and my coworker just bought me some. I'm already worse than a 5 year old.
you must be hypersensitive to caffeine. I can drink so much caffeine and feel nothing.
I made a go pro handle thing. It's a typical angle bracket setup with a weight at the bottom. Are people's like really heavy or just lightly weighted? I've got heavy bike peg as a weight, with some washers on the bolt. I can fill the peg with something if I need more weight, and the peg also doubles as an alternative grip.

I've always used a piece of PVC grey conduit, and then the GoPro is just attached to it with a handlebar mount; very light, nothing fancy. The best part about the conduit is it's cheap, flexible, and if you want you can use a big 10' piece as a GoPro boom if you really want to. Works out pretty baller.
On an unrelated note, the course previews of Claudio Caluori have inspired me to man up and blast this section of ditch that's filled with round smooth rocks from 1/2' to 2' in diameter sometime soon. Hopefully it's as gnarly yet rideable as I think it is. I have no idea how me and my hardtail XC setup will fare against it. Yolo.
Aha, makes me feel like I do nothing when I go out and ride XC. Guy is hilarious to. I'd love to try riding an enduro course or something after watching that.
DeebieSkeebiesgot to be reasonably priced, too. im all for delicious, affordable food for my fellow broke skiers.
I was thinking 3 or 4 euro to compete with the baguette market sandwiches.
I survived on mexican food while I was living in Switzerland. I only spent like $40 a week sans meet. Certainly it would be cheaper to make in Austria.
All the mexican food I had in europe was mediocre and ridiculously expensive.
I made breakfast burritos for my friends for about $15 (5 of us) with left over stuff and I'm pretty sure I changed the way they think about breakfast entirely.

Two option grip setup, slightly weighted, all metal for durability, painted to prevent rust. Could probably use another coat since I ruined it trying to modify it more. Making stuff is fun.

This week at work was intense. Assembly rebuilds are sketchy as hell, especially on lifts from the early 70's and on a tower that you can't drive to so you have to hike in/out
The only thing I bought was the two angle brackets, once of which I sawed in half after I realized I could attach a ski pole grip to it. I also used epoxy putty to fix the bolt into the pole grip (which I have plenty of), and I had nuts and bolts and the bike peg. But it's probably $15 of stuff at most, maybe less.
fuck yes, this bomb-ass food truck just came up to the park today and the owners hooking me up with free lunch for getting him some free tickets. people can be fucking rad sometimes

I just moved the peg up, so the grip is a bit better, and the weight balance is a bit better. If I moved the handle back a it, it might be even more balanced. I just need to unscrew those four screws and space the two pieces a bit. But I'm just gonna leave it for now and do some testing.
