In the continuing saga of my dad being a baller...today he went out window shopping for a new piano and ended up buying a brand new Steinway Model B. It is unreal. Hahaha what the hell.
This would never happen in America because $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.. Not that people who attend French resorts don't drink heavily and ski, but America would not do this. America practically worships Alcohol during sports.
well then you might like Bellingham or Seattle or Portland. More goes on and it doesnt feel as isolated. More hipster than outdoor nuts, which i actually prefer.
british students even more so. they literally hand out fines for anything like they're candies at christmas. i do see where they're coming from on this though, i mean the cultural difference is pretty big, and we brits are the worst offenders. throwing people in jail or whatever is perhaps a tad harsh though
In France they have those separate lift lines everywhere for the école de ski Français, just share a couple of drinks with the ski-teachers and lifties in your local area and they will let you take that lane all the time.
When i do laps with my French ski-teaching buddies they tend to ignore the line completely and hop on in front of the people waiting for their little gates to open.
The hatred they get for doing that must fuel them in some way. I just happily tag along, less waiting = more time for skiing.
