my dreams are always straight chaos lol and the one i had last night was no exception. so my buddy was in it and picked me up to go bike and when we got there i only had my bmx and not my trail bike so i bailed on him and it just got way weird from there.
anyway, that same buddy texted me this morning saying he had a dream we were hitting pow laps!! how weird is it that we both dreamed of each other on the same night?! lmao

Don't take my advice too seriously but I believe the math can't be too hard. It's your life, pick the one you want. If the economics is the one you want, don't be scared of the math.
I feel like you could build a successful company in any industry just by focusing on ease of use and excellent customer service, comparing my experiences filing insurance claims and handling credit card chargebacks, I'm so happy to pay a premium for a service where I know that my custom matters and have blacklisted companies that I just won't deal with going forward. It's just a shame that the vast majority of insurance brokers are absolute wankers.

Normally I’m against constantly upgrading my devices, (my iPhone SE has served me for many years and is still running strong) but the sat phone capability of the new iPhones has me thinking about upgrading this summer. Was planning on buying an inreach for flying/camping, but an integrated cellphone/sat phone seems much less complicated. Plus, not having to pay for two phone plans is pretty nice.

What gen SE? I had the original and it started getting too slow so I finally replaced it last summer. Kinda think it was getting throttled somehow because originally it didn’t seem slow IDK phone conspira ski for sure lol

3d, got it spring 2022, its been a little slow and glitchy recently but nothing too bad. I suspect if it's not being throttled already it'll be throttled soon. I want to keep it as long as I can purely out of protest.

I do, never actually shot one tho lmao. Past few years I've been living in places where there isn't a season, or its all private land. Back when I did, I loved it, even though I never got a bird, going out to sit in the woods for a few hours every morning was its own reward. I think scouting is key, figuring out where a flock is and having a bit of a pattern established should make a big difference.

I agree. Worst comes to worst i get some good hikes and early mornings in some beautiful country.
I'm gunna get an archery hills tag, shotty hills, and shotty prairie tag. I'm 100% positive I can snag a prairie turkey by just driving around a day or two out north to find them and sit in a draw 80 yards away and call em in. But I really want to properly sit and call in a big ole gobbler in the hills.
in other news the last weekend of pheasant/grouse is coming up. Its in the negatives this weekend, but if the weather holds I should be able to get out for one last hunt the weekend after. Hopefully fill up the freezer

Yes they can! They roost in trees every night, and can fly for short periods to get away from predators. In my area you can pretty consistently see them flying from canyon to canyon at different times of the day. For hunting them however, you shoot them on the ground and in the head.
While I’m inclined to agree, you misjudge the amount of people invested in keeping the system dysfunctional. Clear and concise means more claims which means more money paid out which means less money for insurance company.
I mean shit what do you think companies are using ai for? They’re actually using “agents” that speak to you and redirect you hoping you get frustrated and give up. Therefore no claims, refunds, etc.
We are in a point of history where many companies have no incentive to be better. Granted, that’s not all - not by a long shot. Still many great companies. But there are many big companies that are actively taking more money while decreasing the customer experience for the sake of profit.

everytime i went out for wild turkey, i got some! just gotta know where to look. sometimes wild turkey is in trees like the pic below but typically its in the whiskey aisle.

designed pen version slim too slim for my current manufacturing capabilities, external threaded section sheared off when tightened to the cap due to a near non existent thickness separating internal threads from external. knew i was cutting it close but was hoping to use the 1/2" stock I had on hand. revision 2 has been sized up but that means i gotta plow through 3/4" stock to get to my final diameter instead of already being there :/
My mom and dad accidentally went grocery shopping at the same time and I asked them both to get me some protein bars and now I have 2 boxes of protein bars, fuck yeah, master manipulator here

when I hunted hunted turkeys it was from a blind everytime. They are pretty smart birds and stupid at the same time. They have amazing eyesight so you have to be cautious when moving so you dont spook them. Toms (grown male turkeys) have a pecking order so they will beat the shit out of the bird you shoot after they die so make sure you run out there and retrieve the bird asap. Hens decoys work well. Id recommend a full/turkey choke for your 12 gauge if you plan on using a shotgun. Calls work, i used a mouth call but a lot of people use box calls or a friction call.
have fun bring drinks/food and something to pass time.
