KungKalmarI might be able to start my ski season finally on Thursday if the roads are not too slippery
KungKalmarOur seasons are longer but conditions are mostly the same. Flat parts have temperatures bouncing on both sides on freezing point so everything is ice. worst case scenario is weather going from +5c and rain to -15c and back in few days. North is windy so few days after snow you are most likely going to ski on ice if you want to go off-piste.
BradFiAusNzCoCaYou all have studded tires. What you afraid of?? Driving on ice is just a part of Finland driving.
VTshredder69you guys have lower elevation mountains over there in Viking land or is it because of the weather pattern & location ?
KungKalmarStudless friction tyres are quite popular nowdays. I don't know how they perfrom under normal cars but the EV was sliding like a hockey puck on them. Complete trash. I have studded. I said earlier that I don't mind some ice because that is just normal winter but I would rather avoid full sheet of shining ice. And other people are monkeys.

You guys think I can make a candle out of my old ski wax?
partyandBSi got studded tires on my dart and i rip my ebrake on every turn lol. moisture level in the rockies is pretty minimal so overall its pretty chill to drive around town. def get a shit ton of tourists who get rental cars that dont have snow specific tread on any knowledge of driving in snow and its a concern lol. a group from georgia came the other day and said they had driven on dirt a few times before and were shocked how different it was to drive on snow. said they spun out and were thankful they didnt hit anything. gotta look out for the other guy lol
