dude they are totally messing with you. With the new snowmakers it doesn't even have to be freezing out. They can make huge piles of snow all year if they want to. True it is about the money but also about priorities. Places would rather prioritize making money on other stuff besides actual skiing. Case in point is my local hill where they have been making snow for weeks but only on the tubing hill. They are gonna wait until right before Christmas to turn on any guns for the ski hill if they even bother making snow on the ski hill. Tubing will be open on Thanksgiving even if there is some sort of heat dome
