It’s been great overall. I have had 1 exterior trim piece and 1 interior trim piece just fall off. Clicked them back in and so far so good. Other than that no issues. Had to kill sentry at home and got be other location, that shit was killing the battery.

Because I’m driving the vehicle I want to drive, I’m saving fuel cost every month compared to what I was paying prior and I still can say I don’t like Elon. I have no problem separating the two. He didn’t personally build my Y and my measly lease isn’t padding his pockets.

All I gotta say is I'm a massive fan, I put my savings into tesla when I was 18 and I have made an ungodly amount of money off it. The man's company made me dirty rich so imma support him. My kids love me and they are turning out great so I don't think I need to worry about it.

I have Never touched a model y but compared to model 3, Quality of BMW's EVs feels lot better in every possible way seats, interior, driving blaa blaa. Plus it's a german car and that's what gentlemen drive.

Agree. But the bmw’s are slow as fuck, get shit range compared to the Tesla, what you pay is far more but you’re getting far less performance and charging capabilities. If you want a bmw get an ice version. If you want an ev get a Tesla. The bmw ev’s do not drive any better than the Tesla. Driving wise they’re both silent ev’s. I have a performance model so there is no bmw that even comes close performance wise. Unless it’s a competition version the m3 and m4 are both slower than my Y. The reality is in the states unless you’re stepping up to a taycan turbo or an e tron gt there are no better ev’s than teslas. But that’s a big price jump from my Y performance.

An i4 m50 here in the states is 70k for the base model the i4 m50 top model is 82k. My model y performance was 60k which is the top model.
you’re also comparing a small 4 door car to my 4 door mid size suv. Not the same class. If you want to compare the i4 then that would be compared to the model 3. The top model 3 performance is 52k. And Smokes the m50.
the comparable model to my Y would be the IX which is 90k here in the states for the base model with the top model passing 100k. So that’s 30-40k more than my top model y. At that price you’re into the S/X models which again smoke the BMW.
At the moment only a few cars can use super chargers other than teslas. BMW’s are not one of them yet. They’re supposed to gain access this year around Q4 but the current delivery models still do not have the Tesla charging ports. Currently it’s only ford, Rivian that have super charger access.
so charging capabilities are not the same. Not even close. The charging infrastructure here in the states is hot garbage. Most “standard charging banks may have a handful of chargers, and you’re lucky if a few work. Tesla banks will usually have 10-20+ depending on the locations. Super chargers dominate the US by a huge margin.
it’s easy to say “you’d buy a bmw all day” when you have zero clue how much the cost or price differences are, especially when you aren’t paying. I’m paying just over $500 a month and that was with zero down. The IX lease program was 6k down and an $899 payment for the base model, with the top model being $1200 a month.
im not saying Teslas are the best cars period. They aren’t. Not even close. But when it comes to the best bang for your buck in the Ev world they can’t be beat. That’s just a fact. The model y has been the highest selling vehicle in the world for a while now for a reason. Performance/value can’t be matched by any other vehicles. if they were the same price and performance values I’d be with you all day. I’d take the BMW, but they aren’t. Not even close.
