i think the first one is right. saying 'would' implies hypothetical, so shouldnt the rest match? I think 'had to keep' sounds like it also implies something that hasnt happened so it works better with 'would'
'had to have kept' sounds like it refers to something that actually happened which doesnt fit with 'would'

i dunno, im no expert. youre from england arent you?

I just took a massive shit; and during the whole ordeal I was trying to develop and improve upon an existing idea of mine. Out of nowhere I had a massive epiphany that will help simplify and just make the idea work so much better. Productive pooping for the win.

Wake up this morning, make coffee, get a Batemanesque shower and go down the street to find my car missing from it's designated parking space marked with a sign with the license plate number on it.

Rage, call stuff, and apparently they towed away my car because someone had used a marker to alter my license plates. They are never this effiecent. Seriously fuck this shit.
