Had a peer review session over my paper today. I already had my paper looked at and proofread by my professor and she told me to bring in a proofread copy to class anyway for peer review and let one more set of eyes look it over. My professor loved my paper and gave me great feedback told me as I turned it in it was a B paper but could get it up to an A for sure.
The kid who I switch papers with is this asian kid, and I start reading his paper and it is pretty bad. Not like absolute dumbass level but it's pretty horribly written. I read through it 4 times in the 50 minute class and found huge mistakes each time. Too many to even give any other criticism aside from, man just rewrite your paper.
We go over his paper together i let him know what to watch out for and change, then he goes on a rampage tearing my paper apart like he is god's gift to writing. I was basically nodding my head going "mhmm, mhmm, mhmmm."
then my teacher heard him ripping apart my paper and was like wait whats wrong? did jake rewrite his paper i read it yesterday and it was pretty good. He then told her what he thought was wrong with it, then she proceeded to tell him why he was wrong and why my writing is boss, then she read his paper and asked him to set up an office hour meeting to go over the paper with her... AFTER HE REWRITES HIS.
