I highly doubt that is the case. What's more likely is that the kids who go to your school are fucking terrible and the teachers are at a loss to compensate for their lack of family-bestowed traits such as a work ethic, discipline and any sense of respect for their elders.
I thought the same thing when I was in HS to be honest. Now that I'm long gone I see the absolutely insane amount of bullshit teachers go through for such little pay. The job does not stop when you go home, nor do the responsibilities. Parents, homework, quizzes, tests, curriculum, and new requirements set forth by the state- which is also trying to give them as little as possible- are all thigns they have to deal with. Disciplinary action is often a huge can of worms too, since nowadays little Johnny can't be wrong in momm'y's eyes so the teacher MUST be a dick.
Then you have the punkass motherfucker kids these days. Jesus I have no idea how they put up with it to be honest. I'm not saying there aren't shitty teachers, but goddammit man, they are WAY underpaid for what they do and what they've been entrusted with. The education of future generations is pretty damn important, and the fact that the average union DPW ditch digger makes more than your average grade school teacher is ridiculous to me.
I dunno, just my .02. Teachers put up with a ton of shit for very little money. Even if what you say is true, they're just performing to their pay grade afaiac.
