Ordered a DSLR camera online on Saturday... they couldn't process the order till yesterday. It shipped and will arrive in 2 days.

Originally when I ordered on Saturday it had a pending charge for the after rebate price. I went today to see how much I got charged to then file for the rebate and noticed that I have not even been charged... at all. No pending, no money taken out, nothing. Did I just get a free camera?

Inb4 rant but this is relevant to my current situation. I am quitting smoking for the final time as of yesterday. I can't smoke on occasion without it consuming me and every time I have quit previously I hang out with the same friends and start again.. It makes me moody and intensifies my anger when I am sober, an yeah it helps me deal wit it when I am stoned but it's a cycle and I just want to break out of it. Been smoking near daily since I was 13, now that I am about to turn 18 and just it in trouble by my parents for the 10th time and disappointed the hell out of my girlfriend I have really put things in perspective an realized thy smoking weed really doesn't do much for me and I am really excited to move forward with my life and move on from it. Having a positive outlook on the future works wonders. Been a week side I smoke last and I'm already getting over the depression and anger I used to feel when I wasn't high.

Went on a bit of an adventure today. A buddy wanted to out sledding, and he had his dads Summit 800R e-tec. I towed to people on skis with my family's Lynx Commander 600 e-tec.

This dude than proceeded to do stupid things. For some reason he towed my other friend up a steep little hillside, and of course got super very stuck.

We dug and pushed and stuff for almost two hours before he was free. And it this point it had gotten a whole lot darker, and there was a full blizzard. Luckily we weren't very far off the trail, and we did get back before nightfall.

Unfortunately my phone died, so I could take a picture of when he was about twice as deep.

Had a history test today that I murdered. The teach gave us some bonus questions by playing various songs from the 60's and 70's. He played a few (and the most easily recognizable) songs from Queen. And no one got those songs. Like honestly, Even if you didn't grow up in that era you should still know who queen and/or freddy mercury is. I was the only one who got it right. Me and the teacher were both dumbfounded.

my english teacher does this all the time, he plays 70's and 80's music and the entire class is just like "da fuck?"

however, if he ever played Queen I'd instantly know. his voice has to be one of the most well known in the U.S.

getting complimented on my playing today was awesome, such a confidence boost. as was realising my playing sounds sick through a high end guitar and good amp.

I got a pair of 2011/12 Libery Morphics from geartrade.com for $210. They have been mounted once and from the pictures looked in pretty good condition. Probably going to mount with STH12 Drivers.

Solid choice. I need to buy some new STH12's for next season. I could make love to those bindings. Either that or a pair of STH2 13's when they come out for the pow skis I plan on building and keep my current STH12's for all my park skis.

I really wanna get away.
I'm so burnt out with school and Reno and people.
I'm considering joining the army. I'd probably do it right now, but I wanna fly helicopters and you need 20/50 uncorrected vision to fly in the army and I'm blind as a bat. I'm gonna highly consider it when I'm 21 and can get LASIK.
Also, I was thinking that to get away right now I really want to go to Europe and backpack and take pictures. I wonder if it would work if I got enough cash and bought a one way ticket and just backpacked and crashed wherever I could. I could probably bring a tent or something and camp, work odd jobs to get money for food and a place to stay the night.
Sorry. End rant. I just wanted to tell someone. My parents don't give a shit and won't listen. They just want me to go to school and stay in a major I don't really like, because it will make a lot of money later.

@Shlong, college and university are way overrated IMO albeit I've never really been... I do hate the pressure that modern society puts on people to go, and then the stigma that all who don't are more or less a bunch of uneducated peons, at least that's the feel I get. Super dumb and super shitty. If you have no ambitions to go I would definitely stay away from it and shoot for a dream no matter how distant it may look. Being a heli pilot would be sick for sure. Love having my PPL (fixed wing) and couldn't even imagine how awesome it would be to fly in the military.

Like the thing is I know I'm smart, but I just haven't found what I'm interested in.
I was top 30 in my class, 32 on the act, top 1% at my university in terms of test scores.
I'm just done with everything. I want to switch from mining engineering to geology because I like it more but my parents have pushed me away from it. They've pushed me at school my whole life and I'm totally burnt out from it. I've had to take ap and honors all through high school, parents were super strict and never had a ton of time for fun. I wanna get away super bad. I'm doing shitty my second semester in college and my parents said if I drop out I'm on my own.
If they really kick me out I'm gonna sell my dirtbike and car and work to build up money and buy a new dslr, lenses, and a one way ticket to Paris with a backpack, gear, cash and another ticket to Barcelona in the future.
It's kinda more of a find myself kinda thing. Like I'll come back and either decide to go back to college, join the army or do whatever.
Sorry it's super long. I just have nobody that will listen.

That time in science when you make something that isn't a white crystalline solid. Colors are pretty accurate actually, they're pretty vibrant substances. And the black stuff is quite sparkly. That was such a scientific description... inb4 make drugs.

Don't go if you don't want to. I'm in school, but that's cause I kinda knew what I wanted to do. I'd say I'm smart, I liked legos and such as a kid, I like knowing how stuff works in great detail. So I went to the very top, or bottom? Either way, chemistry, to reduce systems to their atomic components. Now I'm learning about quantum mechanics, which I find funny cause that's like something we joke on as kids, like the same as saying rocket science or whatever.

But I have a desire to become more knowledgeable about this shit. If you don't have that, don't try to force it.

We don't really have odd jobs in Western Euroland, be smart and pretend to be a street performer/living statue. A person I know does this and he makes roughly 40 bucks an hour minimum.
