There is a hillclimb competition at my home resort today. They're using the school parking lot for all the competitors, and our house is just between the school and the slope. That means that there are sleds roaring up and down my street right now.

I just got a Google Nexus 7, its an android tablet that has a bit more processing power and a better screen, but it'll cost you about $100 less than the ipad mini. Got mine for $250, with 32 gb storage. Very happy with my purchase, might be worth looking into. There's a 3G version and a WiFi version, I got the wifi so not too sure what the 3G version would cost you.

yesss we're definitely on the same page, once i move out there majority of my free time will be doing stuff like that. i can't really do anything like that on the east coast and it blows. hiking out west > hiking here

ughh could not agree more! the only thing that is fun with my dog is go out hiking in the mountains up my house in vt but i would much rather do that out west.. an overall better experience out there and so stoked to get out there but i have to wait quite sometime before that can happen

yeahhh i was gonna say if i really wanted to i could hike up in VT, which i do in the summer but not the winter because after hiking for fresh in UT it's just not the same, the views, the altitude, basically everything haha. this is making me miss it now

I went to the zoo on my birthday and to exercise the penguins they take them out of their enclosure for a walk and they were far too cute and seemed so happy and one stopped by me and flapped his flippers and I'm suddenly reconsidering grad school because I kind of like the idea of just being a zoo keeper for the rest of my life.

Not one to abuse the system, but California just covered my hospital bills for my broken arm and infection that I got back in January.

Been working 60 hour weeks this month to try to cover it, but just got the letter in the mail that it's been taken care of. Woot!

depends on your pain tolerance....

i just popped advil for like a day afterwards and i was fine.... i ate hard foods about 36 hours after my surgery, but then i know some people who've had it hurt a lot more even with the vicodin.

DONT DRINK USING A STRAW OR SUCK ON ANYTHING FOR THE FIRST FEW DAYS. a lot of my friends got dry socket and it blows dick. i didn't get it but apparently its really easy to get so just take it easy... dry socket also puts the recovery time at like 7 days for the bleeding rather than 2-3

Thinking about doing this in the next month or so just cause it will only be free till June.

I already have a root canal/capped front teeth and I broke my arm and waited a day and a half before going into the doctor.. I'd like to think I have a good pain threshold...

But fuck. For some reason hearing shit about "when will the bleeding stop?" scares the shit out of me.

Mine wasn't that bad. Stopped bleeding right away, had solids 2 after (steak) and was skiing by 3

Lol. All my doctors told me I would need to get my wisdom teeth out. I looked at my own x-rays, took the gamble, and sure enough they came in fine. Stoked to have extra chompers.

Also, I really want to nail Brandi from storage wars... No clue why.

getting your wisdom teeth out hurts nowhere near as much as breaking your arm, it's just a different type of pain, less movement-agitated, more dull and annoying.

it's just a part of the operation as far as the bleeding. your mouth will taste slightly like blood for like a full day afterwards/you'll have to keep putting gauze in there for like a day but we don't mean blood gushing out of your mouth haha

i have to admit it was a little annoying but not scary in the least. just make sure you get someone to drive you back from the doctors cause you'll be feeling real good after the nitrous.

i realize that, i'm not a fucking moron. he said "i'm in a bit of pain now... gonna take some more advil and penicillin" or something to that effect. i've never heard of anyone taking penicillin after getting their wisdom teeth out

I hate the initial 5 seconds where you wonder it it's going to get worse or just stop. Lots of earthquakes lately. Mammoth better not erupt. I'd be so sad.

What painkillers do people normally get? All I got was t3s. Didn't matter though by the next morning I didn't need painkillers and headed into a job interview. What sucked was the antibiotics thet gave me. Made me sick the entire two weeks I was on them so I couldn't eat solid foods.
