go for it, why not. travel and see the world while you can dude. there has to be a couple good colleges in spain. i'm planning to take any travel opportunity i get in college, co op, study abroad, etc
how would i not have anything solid to go off of? 1. what are my qualifications 2. do i actually want to be a model 3. is this legit 4. do i have the money for this.
if i made the decision to go to paris and it was a bust, what would i be learning? that i shouldn't be a model? ok problem solved and i move on with life.
That's super shallow, if you never push yourself and make mistakes, you won't lead a very interesting life. I'd much rather study abroad, challenge myself but maybe fail, than stay home and know i'll succeed.
So what you're saying is if you're trying to do something you would rather fail the first time and do it right the second time? I think there's a Glee song about that.
There's nothing wrong with challenging yourself, but you do it because you want to gain from it. You have a goal to reach and your ultimate goal does not depend on you screwing up on the way
I have never watched glee, so I don't know what you're talking about.
Obviously you shouldn't start something planning to fail, but the risk of failing shouldn't stop you doing anything. Some pretty fun stuff has come from me thinking, 'well, this might well be a terrible idea, but here I go anyway'
But taking risks means that failure is an inherent factor, otherwise they're not risks.
Obviously this is incredibly subjective, some people enjoy staying home, having a nine to five and staying safe and that's fine. I'd rather fly somewhere new, see how it goes, send it and have a good time, even if it goes wrong every now and again. When shit does go wrong, you come out the other side knowing you can deal with it.
True, And I do that too. But I limit the things I actually do to those I believe have a high chance of success. Unless I've been drinking, in which case who fkn knows
I think a good analogy is with girls, the first time you like one, it feels like a risk making a move, because knowing she doesn't like you would feel worse than thinking that maybe she likes you. But eventually you know that it's much better to take the risk, because good things can come from it, and rejection isn't so bad anyway.
course. think about that guy who was a boring stock clerk at the bank and a father of 2 kids. one day he decided to invest in microsoft and now he's got stacks on stacks.
missing spectating my university hockey club's first XI playing in the scottish cup final tomorrow (this hasnt happened in a VERY long time, and could easily not happen again for the rest of my university career) AND playing the last away game of the season in edinburgh tomorrow (obviously it would have ended up as a choice between the two but that's beside the point) because of a class that's compulsory, but completely and utterly pointless and bears no significance to my degree.
& Thought they were talking about the coke at first, my dad always does whenever we're out for dinner, "Can we have a cock please", so fucking embarassing.
Well I mean you should probably let them know, they're kinda of an important factor in where you're going to college haha.. I feel you though, started visiting colleges and I'm like damn! I'm really gonna be outta here next year. Stoked.
How can you have so little interaction with your parents that they don't know where you're interested in going to college? Why would you not tell them you want to leave the state/country? Why are you bragging about this? What the fuck is wrong with kids now?
