just got back from the Dominican Republic.... took a bunch of videos with my gopro but the damn thing stopped recording a bunch of times randomely.... :(

still such a sick trip, built a house for a local family there, stayed on a picturesque beach... chilled... so much fun.

I'VE NEVER SEEN ONE OF THOSE. But really. I know, I use it, but my roommates don't know how to load or empty it. Its amazing they are so fucking lazy that they can't seem to rinse a glass, plate, anything and put it in the dishwasher.

All this happens while one of them is a fucking clean freak, outside of the dishes, and demands that every 2 weeks we wipe down the couches and clean the fixtures... Really man? Get the dick out of your ass and chill out.

How do people this lazy honestly even make it out of mommy and daddy's house and not die in the first month?

People are so fucking lazy nowadays.  I wish I had a dollar for every time I saw someone in college who had no concept of cleaning up after themselves or how to do things like fold clothes, do laundry or heaven fucking forbid do their own goddam dishes before they smell like garbage in July.

My current roommate is a girl I vaguely know, she does some modeling occasionally and lives of her parents infinity supply of money.

She feels that she is too important too clean stuff so she pays for a housekeeper who comes every two days.

That's amazing. I had a roommate like that, parents paid for a cleaning service, but he still never cleaned his dishes. What is it with people who just don't know how to turn a fucking sink on, use soap and a sponge.

Cant believe there was almost a shooting at my college last night. The guy pulls a fire alarm in a 15 story dorm to get people out, then goes back into get guns and points one at his roommate.. Roommate calls the cops and when they get there the gunman is dead. Shot himself in the head.

He had a "tactical assault rifle" and 4 IEDs in his backpack. This could have been so much worse.. It's crazy when you see it all over the news, but so much different when it happens in your backyard. Maybe I'm thinking too much about it, IDK but its so scary to think about that happening here.

Why was he trying to get people out? and why didn't he like his roommate? no reason? How did he manage to call the cops if he had a gun pointed at his head, and if he had already shot himself surely he would have told the cops?

who brings IED'S, that's pretty weird.

I didn't wanna make a thread cause there's been too many recently.

To answer your questions, He was trying to get people out of their dorm rooms to start offing people. His roomates knew nothing of him having any guns or a history of violence. The gunman was a loner they said. The guy pulled a gun on him and the the roommate ran into his bathroom and locked himself in, then called the cops. The kid didn't come out till the cops got there. When they got in they found the dead body, guns, and IEDs.

And yes, who the fuck brings IEDs... That is what was so crazy about the whole situation IMO... I don't know the strength of IEDs but properly placed could they take down a building, or do some serious damage if he went outside strapped with bombs in the crowd of people and blew himself up...

My old roommate didn't know what a garbage disposal was so she put every single fucking thing in it which led to our apartment reeking like death and a clogged sink. WHO PUTS BONES IN A GARBAGE DISPOSAL?!

Yeah, but this is a weird one, + personal.

I wonder why the gunman didn't just break his way into the bathroom/shoot through it(glad he didn't though)

Also IED'S aren't always extremely powerful, it's just a way of saying homemade explosive.

Yea, idk. The news conference said that his plans were written to be done later in the night and for some reason things started happening earlier so maybe that lead to him offing himself and panicking. I'm just glad hes dead and nobody else is.

Just got a letter stating that I'm suspended from Uni this week for a racistic remark against a professor, I didn't, yes I made a remark but it wasn't racism.

It went like this:

Him: "Lauren, what is hofahdfhkdjbcbblbjbcjbca?" (He always pronounces my name wrong on purpose, makes him giggle.)

Me: "What was that sir?

Him: "It seems we have a deaf idiot."

Me: "I'm far from deaf and also not an idiot, it's just that your speech impediment makes it hard to understand what you are saying."

Him: "WHAT!"

Me: "Well after twenty years living and teaching in this country I'd expect something more from you then the vocabulary and ability to create sentences of a three year old, no make that a two year old."

Him: "....."

And he didn't talk to me anymore that lesson, no he went straight to the board and claimed racism.
Did I went out of line? Yes, but was I a racist? No for fuck sake. I will hunt down his children and debone his dog.

I was merely stating a fact, the guy has lived in this country for 20+ years and he still can't make proper sentences longer then three words and even if by some chance he get's it right it's inaudible because his accent so extremely heavy.

It's all fine with me, he can choose to not learn a language, but this guy is supposed to teach Dutch students in Dutch about a Dutch subject whilst he doesn't fucking know Dutch. It's so frustrating and when you make a remark he grabs his bloody racism card.

Doorbell rang, check doorcamera see it's the guy who according to the inter webs was supposed to deliver a package at 9:00 AM.

Don't want to mis him, rush down the four flights of Amsterdam stairs with a pace that would put Flash Gordon to shame. Open door, guy is already walking back to his van. Call him over. He hesitates, and slowly walks towards me giving me a strange look and holds the package with fully stretched arms.

He also holds his authentication tablet at maximum length away from his body, when I'm done he quickly rushes to his van. I climb back up the million stairs, muscle aches everywhere. Get in my apartment wondering why the guy was acting so dodgy.

Moments later I see myself in the mirror, fully naked....oh dear. I just exposed myself to a delivery guy and a busy Amsterdam street at night. As if this day couldn't get any worse.

This was me in accounting with the most intensely accented Indian gentleman in the country. I literally had to ask him to write it on the board so I could put it in my notes because I couldn't tell what he was saying. At least he was a better sport about it though, that sucks.

@Magnus: A lot of people in Amsterdam have them, most of those old houses are split up in apartments, one on each floor. Me and my roommate, have the fourth floor, everyone at least has an intercom system but a camera is safer. It was already here before we moved in. And so is the ceiling, that goes from a height of 2,60 to 1,90. It's the most crooked place ever, the camera intercom is the only nice thing.

It's very simple, the place is my roommates, her parents bought it for her.
They wanted her to have a roommate, to provide some company and be there when she isn't (she is a runway model > crazy random schedule and gets flown to random places for shoots and shows.)

When we moved in we realized that we could A. each have our own room, with a desk and small bed.
Or B. turn one room in an "office/closet" and put a kingsize bed in the other. We did the latter.

We are both comfortable with our sexuality, so we just lay naked. And occasionally we do it for the sake of doing it, sort off like friends with benefits, we are just two 21 year olds sleeping in the same bed already, so why not, life is short, better enjoy it.
