People should stop jumping in front of my train. This is the third time in a bloody month that I will have to spend three hours in the bloody thing because someone couldn't handle it, which is sad, but they always seem selfish enough to do so during rush hour on one of the busiest sections of rail that leads into the capital.

At least the 40% I pay extra for first class is now finally paying off, the entire train is packed with people in Indian fashion sweating profusely over each other whilst I'm relaxed and watching a movie on my MacBook that's being charged in a separate "silent" cabin in the first class carriage, the only other person in this carriage is a conductor at the other end...

Around 200 a yearso not that much on a 17 million people population but most seem to do it in the exact same spot at the same time.

Forensics and cleaning take a long time and with the über packed Dutch railway system it affects so many other trains that have to now divert as we.

I think theres been like 1 in total in norway this year. It's either one or none, can't remember if it was late last year or early this year. But then, we're just close to a fourth of the population in holland. It's gotta suck though, i mean, constantly having your train ride delayed by three hours, give or take a couple.

Considering a slightly higher suïcide rate in Norway it's obvious that over here it's a popular way to go, 14% of the people commiting suicide over here do it this way. Probably because it's always news when someone does it, it sticks with people and it's a rather painless way too go, destructive but painless.


Also note that 50 of these train jumps happen at the same 1km stretch of track next to an psychiatric hospital.

I Sweden people cut themselves instead, I think. But the train-jumping happens here as well. A classmate of mine missed an entire day of school a few months ago because someone jumped in front of the train she was on. But it's actually only happened that one time in the two years that stretch of rail has been open.

Suicide is all around awful.
