Anyone know the deal with turning unused vacation for a payout upon resigning? Last week of work coming up and I've been full time for about 7 months with one day off so far so I imagine I have a weeks worth of vacation like I should.

found out a bruised ligament in my knee was the culprit of issues this year. get that shit checked out before the snow flies again, brah.

Skied for the first time in a month Saturday and wow my knees have felt weird since, sending to Salt lake soon but gonna see what my friends doctor parents think or see a specialist and do some PT so I can ski during my 1 year lease.

Yeah I need to, I just don't know who to see. Probably gunna wait until I go back to South Dakota for a month or so because I know a couple good docs there and my neighbor is a PT.

my best friend has started hanging out with my ex girlfriend a lot while a mutual friend is apparently seeing her. Its really really bothering me and i've been up front to him about it telling him i would really appreciate it if he didnt hang out with her at all considering what she put me through and how he witnessed everything. Yesterday another friend of mine showed me my ex's instagram story and she was posting a ton of pictures of them together and it really got under my skin. I'm honestly ready to jaw my friend bc ive already talked to him about it and he isnt respecting me but i also dont want to lose my best friend over a whore. Idk man.

in australia you get minimum 4 weeks paid vacation each year that rolls over into the next if you don't use it, when you resign it gets paid in full (+17% holiday loading) in the next pay cycle, it happens automatically

Unused vacation time usually pays out at 50%.

I do but not as much as I used to. My life is no longer filled with exciting things such as college, drama, and alcohol so I have run out of things to say. But I have found enjoyment in weaving and making dream catchers so that is where things are at.

Used to bike almost as much as I skied growing up. I started and quit dh racing before I was out of high school. Once senior year came around as well as my first and second years of college I realized I was really out of shape in the offseasons and not as happy without biking. The most random circumstances ended up leading my to buying a rad new bike yesterday and then I actually rode for the first time in so long and now I’ve got this giddy excited feeling I’ve never had on an mtb before. So that’s whats been on my mind.

Perfect timing too now that I’m headed out to Bozeman with a couple of msu homies for the next week.

Today was my last day and I asked about it and he was said they don't do it, think he said it does in the employee book but they just don't do it for accrued time. It's alright, got 5 or 6 jobs just saying to come in once I settle in slc.

In what state do you live? In about half of the states it is legally required that the employer pay out vacation time at 50% or more.

New Hampshire, I looked it up and I'm pretty sure they require it if there's a paid vacation which I think I had. I heard a previous tech who left tried and kinds fought over it but idk they don't give it to us. I'll get one more pay check in 2 weeks that'll be from one day of work I think.

God damnit, I'm not sure why I can't but my boss basically was implying i just shouldn't have gone there even. If it was 5 days he meant, woulda been nice to know in March/April to visit my new home in UT before moving. Got paid for my one day off without any sick days, but no raise after 6 months, but I never asked and gave my boss month 1/2 notice around then anyway. Its a family owned dealership run by the parents and their kids, and they want to save as much money as they can. But as long as they have room and 2-3 more bucks an hour than before I'll happily work there if I move back.
