Well maybe not that consistent but it snowed a few times a week when it actually snowed. There were trees being skied last weekend but after tonight the snows gonna be melting fast, hopefully omw to Utah in 2 months to see how I like living where it's suppose to be deep.

My homie was sending me snaps of the 14 inches at Brighton while I was sweating balls in the first humid 65 degree day of the year, got to see half a foot and skiable trees last weekend which was nice, now it's over but whatever I'm pissed I never really got consistent spring condition weekends.
Also buzzing nice off 3 cans, been a while since I had more than one lol.

it was like 20-30"+ at the bird. The JFWT North American Championships are in town so youd think it would.be busy but it was a ghost town of just deepness and kids firing off all over, i saw some nutty skiing from groms yo. So much fun, skied some fun stuff today.
Speaking of beer, we shared a little case of steveweisers today which was nice and now its time to get piss drunk and watch playoff hockey.

I just figured out a genius way to pay for any ski day or an entire vacation for that matter.. i'm sure it's common practice among you vets but hear me out
Instead of asking for a ride to the mtn, I ask people if they "need a ride?" on local group pages FB Usually get 2-3 responses, some don't even ski and some just need to be closer to their destination.. $5-10 bucks out of 3 people is at minimum $15 (gas) or at most $30 (fill up)
When others wanna go on a vacation i'll ask if they want to split the costs of an expernsive vacation home.. again between 3-4 of us we split the costs up and get a pimp ass pad in Whistler for a few nights.
My dad doesn't have 5mil like most of you 12 year olds so I have to get creative with my budgets.

night and day differences up there and at alta today. Insanely gorgeous but it was some real hotpow for sure, the sun nuked a lot of exposed stuff but it still skied really well. But yeah yesterday took the cake for sure, super fuckin fun.

You mean you figured out that if you split the cost between multiple people it becomes cheaper?
Skied one run at Waterville, horrid park and a slow ass triple lift, luckily for free. Drove 30 minutes to Loon and skied a good end of the season park setup and top to bottom skiing, was expecting a few inches of decent pow but had an east coast hardcore real stuff day. Hoping I can ski up to the time I leave for Utah in June, Wildcat and Killington will make it to May I bet and Jay Peak doesnt have a clue when theyll be close to closing time but then Peace Pipe late May.
Had an interaction yesterday with a guy who hooked a turn right in front of me on the catwalk. Fortunately for both of us, my edges aren't completely dull and I was able to swerve around him with about 2m to spare.
He came up to me afterwards and I got an earful about how he had the right of way (which I don't disagree with), but I don't think it's a valid excuse to be skiing around unpredictably.
I really wish people would take a bit more responsibility for their own safety. A less experienced skier could have easily put this guy in the hospital, regardless of who was "protected" by the rules.
Thoughts? I know I was technically in the wrong here, but I'm sure others have been in a similar situation.

Downhill skiers do have the right of way so as a skier approaching from uphill you need to be able to be able to avoid the downhill skier no matter how unpredictable their movements. No assuming someone won't make a sudden turn or yelling "on your left" and assuming that the downhill skier will hear you. Laws of physics rule where the downhill skier could go and the uphill skier needs to be able to avoid them.

Sorry, I think I misinterpreted your post. I thought you were joking around and encouraging me to hit him for extra points, so I replied in form.
Totally agree with everything you are saying, and yes, I always make sure to ski in control because it pays off in circumstances like this. Mostly I am just surprised that so few people transfer their "defensive driving" principles to their skiing.
I make a habit out of looking around before I merge or turn onto another trail, even if I have the right of way. Hopefully I start to see more people doing this as well.
I read a bunch of reviews on evo, a lot of the people who post 1 star reviews are fucking idiots. For an example, looking at the dalbello lupo reviews someone was complaining that the tongue came off in tour mode.
Broke up with my girlfriend of 2 months because I'm going to be leaving the country in a few months and I didn't think a long distance relationship would work because we wouldn't be able to see each other more than once or twice a year. She said that she felt it would be easier to break up now instead of continuing to go out knowing it would have to end. Felt like shit because I wish I had been a better boyfriend and that we had dated for longer, but I had a good cry about it and talked it through with her so I feel marginally better. Working out has helped too.
How have you guys (or girls) got through hard breakups? I feel like the biggest issue for me is that neither of us were in the wrong and it feels like we didn't have to break up at all.
