gapersarefriendsAh yes Idaho pulled the ol piss rain on the mountain for a week, mountain closes, dumps a foot the week later trick on us
Titus69That's New Hampshire every other week in the winter, rain, freezes over, then snows about a foot over the week, then rains and starts over again.
wpskiFukk snowbird started out shitty got shittier, but then surprisingly good for the rest of the day
gapersarefriendsYeah pretty bummed but oh well. Got a good season. I couldn't imagine dealing w that day in day out
Titus69Well maybe not that consistent but it snowed a few times a week when it actually snowed. There were trees being skied last weekend but after tonight the snows gonna be melting fast, hopefully omw to Utah in 2 months to see how I like living where it's suppose to be deep.Hell ya man
denvertrashfukken bieg geyy
DeebieSkeebiesHOT DAMN, today was fucking terrific. Blower pow in April! Fuckin knew we were due for another awesome storm. Fuck yeah, today was sick. My knee says otherwise but we made it this far!
Titus69My homie was sending me snaps of the 14 inches at Brighton while I was sweating balls in the first humid 65 degree day of the year, got to see half a foot and skiable trees last weekend which was nice, now it's over but whatever I'm pissed I never really got consistent spring condition weekends.
Also buzzing nice off 3 cans, been a while since I had more than one lol.
DeebieSkeebiesSpeaking of beer, we shared a little case of steveweisers today which was nice and now its time to get piss drunk and watch playoff hockey.
OregonDeadPretty stoked about my boot fitting appt. Sat. Gonna get new boots punched and new custom insoles made. This dude is way more confidence inspiring than any other tech I've dealt with. Totally race focused shop which is kinda interesting.
Govygen_gourmetJudging by your name and previous comments about mtn hood i'm guessing it's that one race shop in between those condos and Skeet Booowl? I may be wrong though.
wpskiwow snowbird was fuckin deep today
Govygen_gourmetI just figured out a genius way to pay for any ski day or an entire vacation for that matter.. i'm sure it's common practice among you vets but hear me out
Instead of asking for a ride to the mtn, I ask people if they "need a ride?" on local group pages FB Usually get 2-3 responses, some don't even ski and some just need to be closer to their destination.. $5-10 bucks out of 3 people is at minimum $15 (gas) or at most $30 (fill up)
When others wanna go on a vacation i'll ask if they want to split the costs of an expernsive vacation home.. again between 3-4 of us we split the costs up and get a pimp ass pad in Whistler for a few nights.
My dad doesn't have 5mil like most of you 12 year olds so I have to get creative with my budgets.

RIP Gunny.
Profahoben_212Sad day man gunny was the shit
DeebieSkeebiesWatched Mail Call religiously as a little kid and FMJ is my fave kubrick film. Definitely a bit bummed
bread_birdHad an interaction yesterday with a guy who hooked a turn right in front of me on the catwalk. Fortunately for both of us, my edges aren't completely dull and I was able to swerve around him with about 2m to spare.
He came up to me afterwards and I got an earful about how he had the right of way (which I don't disagree with), but I don't think it's a valid excuse to be skiing around unpredictably.
I really wish people would take a bit more responsibility for their own safety. A less experienced skier could have easily put this guy in the hospital, regardless of who was "protected" by the rules.
Thoughts? I know I was technically in the wrong here, but I'm sure others have been in a similar situation.
OregonDeadYou don't get any points for almost hitting someone. It's not horseshoes.
bread_birdUnfortunately you lose points for getting your pass pulled, which doesn't fit with my long-term strategy.
OregonDeadDid anyone's pass get pulled?
Downhill skiers do have the right of way so as a skier approaching from uphill you need to be able to be able to avoid the downhill skier no matter how unpredictable their movements. No assuming someone won't make a sudden turn or yelling "on your left" and assuming that the downhill skier will hear you. Laws of physics rule where the downhill skier could go and the uphill skier needs to be able to avoid them.
You say that you avoided hitting the downhill skier by 2 meters and that is proof that you were in enough control to avoid hitting them.
