i took two trips to SLC today (one for work and the other to go hang with the girlfriend) and the fact that my skis are being held up at a FEDEX warehouse somewhere in north salt lake till tomorrow afternoon is just slightly infuriating. god i fuckin hope amazon puts all these garbage parcel service companies out of business for good.

its a long story but pretty much i come into work to find my ski boots thrown in the corner of our shop area, under some old dirty snowmaking hoses. So i freaked out on my co workers because theyre all in their 20s and shouldnt be touching other peoples property, let alone a pair of 650 dollar ski boots. And i was also accused of not raking the park the night before (which i did). And i got into an argument with my coworkers and my boss was like your actions are unnacceptable and let me go.
Meanwhile they get away with bringing dab rigs and smoking up the snowcats when they do builds and morning grooms. But you know thats none of my business.

pretty much spot on. It wasnt in person though. We have a private facebook group that is used for schedule postings, park build discussions and other stuff. Theres 8 or 9 people in it and thats where i called people out and where the arguments took place. Its pretty fucked honestly but you know whatever.
Also just found out that im not getting my tax return because of my student loans which is a gigantic bummer and i dont think hood is a go anymore because i was relying on using that money for the trip.

Some guy got rekt in the back bowl too, so they had to bring him all the way down, then up, then down again.

If you are like me you're just going to want to go more and more the more you go. It's free once you are 72 but you'll need to have skied a ton between now and then to make it worth while. All the skiing you do now is an investment in your future.

Yes, sorta. They've sunk a bunch of money into developing A Basin in the last 4 or so years so it's forsure more busy. Despite that, I feel like it doesn't really affect the skiing - still a lot of open terrain and most people don't venture far from the groomers on Lenawee or Montezuma

I havent been there in like 2 weeks but nabbed a decent day of hitting cliffs and skiing some creamy turns. Its pretty filled in but still pretty bony in spots. This last storm probably helped, and this storm pushing through will make it even better for the spring.
This system moving through is decent, though. High elevations (Snowbird,Alta) are gonna get a decent amount tonight into tomorrow. A bit of a break till late friday through sunday where a cold front moves in and dumps another foot or so. In all, they could get away with another 20"-30"+ maybe even more if its anything like the last storm. I was told a foot or more maybe by midnight tomorrow of some nice dense cream. I like spring here for the base building storms, warm-ass slush days, and then the occasional blower late-season pow day where its all filled in and everything will be fucking firing off.

love this time of year cuz the drives up the canyon arent has hectic sometimes/not as many closures for avy work, and springtime at the bird is always dope.
Starting off as an admin assistant at a local healthcare clinic for 3 months of training and then likely filling in for a clinic manager who will be taking maternity leave. From there it’s likely I’ll be transferred to another location or do something of a similar title. I’m so so so excited!!(:
Also today I taught a snowboard lesson. Little did they know I don't know shit about snowboarding. But I mostly just chased these 2 5 year old kids up and down the damn magic carpet and they were literally racing to be the first up/down the magic carpet. They crashed into each other a few times and took some spills but it was super fun PLUS I think they learned something.
Damn skiing at night when it's hero snow is awesome, park isn't great but ripping side to side carves to the rails at the base was so fun. Said in February we'd get at most a foot before it's over after it was almost 80 two days in a row, so happy I was wrong, got me so hyped to ski again after shit weather.
Literally every other ice cream shop on the fucking continent washes the scooper after each use but you lazy cunts couldnt be bothered to. So now I’m being denied service because you couldn’t accommodate people with food sensitivities like a normal fucking ice cream shop.
Ready for bike season. Stoked for a little more spring skiing, but I just washed all the bikes, and finalized the order on my last new ride of the season. Now my sewing machine just needs to show up so I can make all my bags
