Nah Prodigy 4.0 is where it’s at. 3.0 is good too, but 4.0 is so versatile.

He's an insane skier and I have no issue with the fact that he's gay, but if you go to his instagram page, there are more half naked/naked pictures of him than anything else. The skiing world doesn't want to see that

Found out this morning they are shutting down the steel fab shop I work for, and I only have 2 weeks worth of work left. Just a week after we found out my GF was getting laid off because her parent corporation is dissolving the smaller company. I should have taken the more solid engineering offer i got 3 months ago while I was applying everywhere, but this job seemed like a better fit for me. Too bad it didnt last, but I'll be taking the payout for my PTO and chasing storms for a month or so! WHOS GOTTA COUCH I CAN CRASH ON?!

found these fucking sweet wool-lined kinco lifty gloves with the resort logo embroided or whatever on them. they haven't been waterproofed in god knows how many years and im sitting here getting them all coated with some balm. already a night and day difference, and was in dire need of new gloves anyways so these will suffice for a while.

Yup, I rode them. IMHO, they sucked. They are really soft and buttery, but are also damp as shit. Too soft to charge, not poppy enough to jib around. The asym stuff makes them ok at low speeds on groomers, but I feel like it would be a little more practical on something wider, like the catamaran. I feel like K2's decision to replace the shredditor line with the asym stuff was pretty fucking stupid. From what I can tell, the marksman and the catamaran are just trying to compete with rossi's "average dude" pow skis. Wish K2 would bring the shredditor back.

Give them a shot, you might like them. On the topic of length though, the longest I was able to ride was a 177, which is way 2 short for me. I'm still interested in trying the 184s, or a 192 catamaran, just to see if they are really a shit ski, or if it was just the length.

Finally gonna ski in Utah this weekend. Snow basin Saturday, Alta / Bird Sunday. Trying to figure out a good place to car camp Friday night, and Saturday night. Any leads?

I started by unfollowing and unfriending the people i didnt care to see post, also got rid of Twitter and soon Facebook. Insta is tough but I'm just slowly removing people and pages I don't need to follow. Starting to open my phone and realize I don't really have much to check. Luckily I'm not someone who's phone is blowing up a lot too.

I used to live 3 blocks from Ruby Hill, and helped my buddy build a lot of those new bike trails before I left Denver. Was never much of a fan of their little DIY ski park, but on occasion its a solid spot to hike some rails, have a couple too many beers, and see the odd Newschooler.

weird situation sorta. we have this pretty kick ass smoke shack/DIY Cabin in the woods where i work/ski that we all hit up whenever the crew is skiing together or even when im solo skiing. its pretty damn well built with walls, widows, a roof, and even a little deck. its a popular spot among employees and locals and such. I cruised through there last week to find that some dudes been squatting there all season. suitcases of clothes, ski gear, food, camping gear etc.

Well today one of my good friends (who also knows the shack/helps maintain it) found the guy who was squatting there and smoked a bowl/talked things out with him. Kinda sucks but the dudes an employee but doesn't have a place to crash I guess but at least understands its a popular spot to hang at and is kinda lame to do that.

Is he sleeping overnight in it? That'd be a little fucked out in the Wasatch, not that it's always -10 but still.
Local hill use to have an awesome shack that was like a wooden teepee, log seats, benches, and a nice cover to keep rain and snow out. Probably smoked while skiing for the first time in there, for pow at least, now it's a pile of debree from a tree or some asshole.

Ikon Pass is interesting. Cool concept but I'm just over two companies owning all of the skiing in the north American continent practically.

No reason for me to get it tbh because we get free/discounted skiing at Alterra resorts as is and free day tickets per week at PCMR/Solitude ISAA cards/deals + lodging specials in some spots.

It's like how good the epic pass sounds On paper. you can realistically ski all those places or a good number of them but you always need to factor in getting time off to do so from whatever obligations + cost to get there/lodging/food/etc when you'll really only ski like 5-6 days between two resorts and just stack days at the mountain you normally ski that's an epic pass resort.

Still a large number of people that are able to bring themselves and family out to ski for a week. A lot of these places need to invest in more infrastructure in order to accommodate because everything Vail has done so far for PC hasn't made much of a difference. Still way too many people on the mountain which will happen, And it's even worse in town. It's good for business owners but it makes the grind a bit more of a bitch.

And more employee housing as well. It is rediculous people who run these mega million dollar ski resorts still have to fight over three hots and a fuckin cot every season. Stop with the bullshit real estate developments.
