Fuck me up fam.
Got a super nice pair of sorel's for christmas. Very happy.
Happy Holidays everybody!!
DeebieSkeebiesFuck yeah merry Christmas. Nice to see the truckbed filled with snow. I drove this family to dinner last night and their kid was asking me about the storm and totals and hes gonna be stoked as fuck too. everyones stoked, its xmas, theres pow, lets fuckin get it yeow.
Titus69Same here, like half a foot+ of fluff, windy as fuck but might send to the hill later with a piff stick and catch some pow turns in the sun. Stoked it's a white Christmas
DeebieSkeebiessome of the spookiest windloading ive ever seen. fractures and crowns and slide paths/debris on anything that was steep but no shocker there, lots of heavy loading on top of some weak as fuck layers.
THAT BEING SAID, nabbed 3rd chair and skied some silky smooth runs down whatever was open, and nabbed firsties with my best bud on my favorite chair and we proceeded to slash and burn everything. twas great.
now time to drink beers and get baked and make food

sickskiAny bootfitters or anyone good with ski boots on ns. After only thirty days my shells are breaking
Profahoben_212What boots? Ft?
sickskiMy Lange rx 130 boot.
DeebieSkeebiesMindblowing to me. Been skiing in Langes for a solid 6-7 years almost and never experienced such issues. Currently in RX130s as well. Best boots I've ever owned.
Pic for reference. Boots on the left are 25.5s from a while ago and the ones on the right are my.current ones at 26.5. retired the old ones because I outgrew the liner and the soles were done. Both boots easily have well over 150+ days on them and the only issues I've had are no more springs in the race buckles. That's it.
Take them into a Lange dealer,. You should be able to get those replaced, absolutely crazy that they broke after such a short time
sickskiI probably will, I'm pretty pissed that it happened.
DeebieSkeebiesvery abnormal. was it cold weather? doubt it did that, those plastics are tough as nails usually. plenty of insanely cold spouts of weather here in Utah. also hit up onenerdykid. hes the NS encyclopedia when it comes to this stuff.
definitely get them warrantied somehow. langes aren't usually known to do this, the only complaints usually are how uncomfortable they can be lol.
sickskiMy canting screw or whatever ripped halfway out, I can post a pick of it tomorrow when I go to my locker
DeebieSkeebiesbummer dude, stay hopeful at least. Don't get so bummed. can relate, all my shits starting to break down and snowpacks been lame.

OregonDeadJust noticed the equipment list for my avalanche class next week includes ski crampons. Don't know if that's even possible with my Daymakers. Oh well hopefully we won't go tour on boilerplate.
Profahoben_212Never thought about crampons and daymakers....that would definitely suck to be in a situation that you need crampons and don't have them.
You could most likely jury rig a system for it though
Randy_QuenchEvery time I read the comments on a public FB post I lose absolutely ALL hope for the human race. Some people seriously need to be put down or sterilized.

search4freshiesJust found out my Pops had an accident on the ski hill today. 1 of 3 folks to crash after hitting a large, unmarked, pile of man-made snow in the middle of a green circle run @ Blue mountain ski area in PA. He's a strong (intermediate/expert) skier, and went down while trying to avoid the folks crashing infront of him. Pictures look like the hump sent him a good 30ft to death. He was the only one to get seriously hurt, broke a few ribs and his humorous in his shoulder. Surgery tomorrow morning, MAJOR BUMMER! Always hate seeing someone with a season ending injury (especially this early on). please respect the sacrifices he made to Ullr and send some healing vibes!
