Fuck yeah merry Christmas. Nice to see the truckbed filled with snow. I drove this family to dinner last night and their kid was asking me about the storm and totals and hes gonna be stoked as fuck too. everyones stoked, its xmas, theres pow, lets fuckin get it yeow.

Same here, like half a foot+ of fluff, windy as fuck but might send to the hill later with a piff stick and catch some pow turns in the sun. Stoked it's a white Christmas
Winter Park is getting dumped on! Waist deep pow, rope drops and more! Sadly, on a newly opened run I hit a hidden tree, punched front and fucked up my ankle.

some of the spookiest windloading ive ever seen. fractures and crowns and slide paths/debris on anything that was steep but no shocker there, lots of heavy loading on top of some weak as fuck layers.
THAT BEING SAID, nabbed 3rd chair and skied some silky smooth runs down whatever was open, and nabbed firsties with my best bud on my favorite chair and we proceeded to slash and burn everything. twas great.

Fuck Yeah! Windloading can be super scary. Hanging gardens at squaw is fckn terrifying and I am too scared to ski it due to sluffin out over a 30 footer into trees. But it's always so tempting...

Mindblowing to me. Been skiing in Langes for a solid 6-7 years almost and never experienced such issues. Currently in RX130s as well. Best boots I've ever owned.
Pic for reference. Boots on the left are 25.5s from a while ago and the ones on the right are my.current ones at 26.5. retired the old ones because I outgrew the liner and the soles were done. Both boots easily have well over 150+ days on them and the only issues I've had are no more springs in the race buckles. That's it.
Take them into a Lange dealer,. You should be able to get those replaced, absolutely crazy that they broke after such a short time

Not that abnormal, there’s a bunch of people on TGR that have had their Lange shells crack in the first year.

this just happened to a family friend with some brand new salomon boots. The shell cracked on both boots in less than a week of use. Right underneath the toe buckle.
Got a lot of respect for pros who do crazy urban, last night was so hard trying to land a trick you get so stressed. Glad I got 4 hours of sleep and it's gonna be like 8 degrees at work all day too. Sucks harder not getting the trick after 2 hours.
Just noticed the equipment list for my avalanche class next week includes ski crampons. Don't know if that's even possible with my Daymakers. Oh well hopefully we won't go tour on boilerplate.

Never thought about crampons and daymakers....that would definitely suck to be in a situation that you need crampons and don't have them.

Yeah the class is kinda pricey for me so I would be pissed if I miss anything. Maybe I'll be able to figure something out DIY or I might just have to rent/borrow regular crampons and walk if it's that icy. Hopefully won't be icy though but it's 8 days away so who knows.

Whether it's about drugs, racism, politics or whatever, our local news Facebook (WMUR) is cluster fucked by 50 year old Jim or 65 y/o Cathleen fucking complaining about this and that and who's right or wrong. I wanna argue with them but they'll just bitch I'm am entitled millennial and I'm part of the problem. Makes me wanna sock more people across the face, everyone sucks these days.
Just found out my Pops had an accident on the ski hill today. 1 of 3 folks to crash after hitting a large, unmarked, pile of man-made snow in the middle of a green circle run @ Blue mountain ski area in PA. He's a strong (intermediate/expert) skier, and went down while trying to avoid the folks crashing infront of him. Pictures look like the hump sent him a good 30ft to death. He was the only one to get seriously hurt, broke a few ribs and his humorous in his shoulder. Surgery tomorrow morning, MAJOR BUMMER! Always hate seeing someone with a season ending injury (especially this early on). please respect the sacrifices he made to Ullr and send some healing vibes!

my homie boss gave me a pair of wicked salomon carving skis from years ago with some old-ass STH driver pieces that will work just fine for rock skis/learning how to mount
literally everywhere else in the west besides Mormon land. No major action till at least the 5th-7th.
my drive home today I wanted PC to be the first place Kim Jong un nuked cuz of all the traffic I was so pissed. I like working nights because commutes are mellow, and I can commit reckless traffic offenses not in broad daylight.
