Why is college so fucking expensive? Transferred to a cheaper school, have a pretty good summer job, and pretty good fall job when there is work. But next semester is gonna kill all my funds. Usually spring semesters are a bit cheaper because you don't have to pay the same fees you did in the fall, but I guess all the classes I am signed up for are super expensive because this semester is more expensive than the last. Not taking any more credits than last semester either. And I still have to worry about books on top of all of that. Good thing my ski hill isn't open cause I'll be searching for a full time job for a few weeks as soon as my finals are done next Thursday.
There needs to be a limit on car headlight brightness. I get it, LEDs exist and they're super fucking bright. I never had an issue seeing other cars or what's ahead of me before LEDs, so they could definitely tone them down.
I got a offered a last Friday, I never got a phone call but had a voicemail (must have been a glitch or something). So I called back immediately after getting the voicemail notification. I accepted the offer and said i was interested and all that, gave my phone number for a call back but I never heard back.

Sort of. There's already 2 long time managers but when the season gets rolling they want to pass down more responsibility to him. He'd be more of like an on hill supervisor than the manager I guess. He might end up grooming the park eventually which would be pretty sick.

Hopefully they give him some creative authority. HV is fucking whack like they’re not allowed to use cats on hill during operating hours and have to allow like half the trail to be open so people can ski through. Shits so weird over there. But it seems like they’re heading in the right direction. Blows my mind how nice of a resort holiday is and how ass awful their parks are. When they have probably 5 times the park scene that pknpk has. The kids that ski there kill it and deserve the parks that HV has the potential to create.
Oh well I guess that means lift lines at peek stay short and we get more hot laps.
Got a call today and finally was offered a job in a lab! It’s been months of applying and interviewing, and it feels so good to finally get a job (without somehow having 10 years experience as a college grad). I’m so excited. And I skied on my new skis today, and they’re so much fun. It was a great day!
At my resort we can run cats as long as the trail is closed, park city and timberline have both ran cats during operating hours. I assumed the opposite was the norm

Oh you mean on closed terrain? Then yea that's whack. We don't allow cats on open terrain during operating hours and most other resorts are the same. Huge liability having them run on terrain that skiers are on.

Yeah haha sorry I should have made that clear in my original post. That resorts weird. Really fun for how small it is though, just their parks aren’t what they used to be.
Well got into a nice fender bender 3/4 the way home from skiing today. Started snowing as expected, roads were shutting down til plows came through, fortunately the guy in front was a fireman in his cruiser but he kinda caused it. He didnt slow down just kinda hit the brakes before pulling off the road which was uphill a bit, i broke suddenly causing the cute girl behind me to rear end me, her corolla is totalled. Luckily my crv has a spare on the trunk and the only certain damage is some scratches which i couldnt give two shits about, and my muffler is hanging a bit but it needed replacing anyways, only issue is i cant get the spare table the car has out, and its built into the trunk floor so that might be damaged.

I swear I almost got lost today exploring some of the private homes and condos we manage. this one was like a 4-floor, 8 bedroom monster of a house. everything you could think of, dude. favorite part though was the giant Sopranos poster in the hallway signed by all the cast members. Fucking cool, man.

My home mountains park and the staff the run it are complete shit and it's pissing me off. They legit took the only rail they had out of the park and leaned it against a tree because they didn't want to maintain it. Later to justify taking that rail out they set up a extremely steep and short down tube that's like 3 feet off the ground, no landing either so hitting it sucks since it's ice. The only rail on the entire mountain, one which is supposed to help kids actually learn how to ski Park is the most sketch shit I've ever seen. Seriously what the fuck.
In the past 2 years I've more or less only bummed around in the park, kinda forgot how fun it is to mob around on runs and shit. None of my buddies ride park anymore and I guess I'm not bad at just free riding ahaha. Any recommendations on an all mountain-ish type ski, or opinions on solomon Lords?

Just found out one of my dogs passed away this morning, old age but still so sudden:( and the other dog has been missing for two days and may have gotten caught up with by a pack of coyotes.
Shits so hard to hear on the phone when you’re stuck at school. Life is precious and does it’s own thing and it’s definitely not forgiving and especially for animals in the mountains.
