Titus69Hell yeah man, sounds like your old job was sucking ass. I imagine the staffs already better since you’ve been there, working with people I like is almost a must for me.
What exactly are you doing there? Hopefully moving there before next winter and I wanna know what’s available for some type of skiing related jobs, I could probably land my current job at some dealership or detailing place in SLC but I’m open for other stuff.

1. You know what really pisses me off? When I go to take off my pivots and if I don't push the heel piece all the way down the fucking thing pops back up. It's kinda stupid but it still grinds my gears

We're the main front desk hub for an operation that does a bunch of stuff for this mini-neighborhood-like property with ski-in/out condos and residences. Its kinda similar because my old job were also ski-in/out condos that are privately owned by people but also have lodging management contracts set up where the owners make a percentage off of reservations. Some of the condos/residences during the season cost at least $1,100-3,000/night to book, require 3-5+ night stay minimums depending on the package booked, and including all the stuff people do on vacations like buying tickets, dining, doing activities, etc, the price tag for the vacations are nutty.
This new place im working at is basically the same deal except I guess my boss said its a lot more affluent clientele which is nuts.
I remember last year checking out this one reservation that was nearly $40,000. Some people done fuck around on ski trips lol
Titus69I can only imagine rich ass dads “getting away with the fam” for a week in Utah and blowing $3k even though they live 4 hours away. Must be crazier when they’re like New Yorkers over school vacation. My parents are in the ski industry and they always tell me to avoid working in it, lol.

ronders_My dumbass hockey coach just dropped the schedule for the rest of the season. Has scheduled practices right in the middle of the afternoon on all my days off school this winter. So fuck there goes my ski season I guess.

Yeah man this website has gone soooo down hill. They had it perfect in like 2012/13. Set up of the homepage was killer, was perfect for content to gain momentum and blow up on its own instead of relying on social media to do all the work to get exposure. And idk the ns insta is so cringy. I cant stand it. The most cheesiest captions and whack ass instagram stories, just post skiing clips.

DaphYea and the lifts are super pissed off and running like shit, and a bunch of brand new liftys who can't handle the crowds. Plus Unruh decided to crank the speed up on swifty and ramcharger which just created more problems. Turned them both down to where I like it and they're so much happier
mmccarthy81I played club my whole life and hockey was a big part of my life. Once I got to high school I wanted to ski more but tried to balance both and it hadn’t worked. The coaches were clueless assholes and didn’t know shit about the game and got pissed if they found out that I had went skiing on a day off. The schedule was always brutal and last year I only got 10 days on the mountain, so this year despite being captain I emailed the coach basically telling him how he was a dick and how the combination of his policies and coaching ruined hockey for me and a lot of other players and I quit. I’ll pick it back up next year once in college with club or beer league but for the first time since I was 4 years old I’m taking a season off to shred and couldn’t be happier.
ronders_I strongly considered quitting for this (senior) year but decided to keep at it. Plus I've already payed the $500 for the season for food/buses/hotel etc. So I'm stuck

mmccarthy81Ah idk where you are but in NJ high school is way worse practice wise than club. It’s like everyday
ronders_Wisconsin. Practice every weekday with games often on weekends. Over winter break we get 3 days off. Then we have to be at the rink at 6:15AM the day after Christmas for a 6 hr bus ride to a tournament in Minnesota. After that pretty much no days off until March.
