patagonialukeNo he got really lucky and most of the weight of the rock was on some other rocks and not fully on his ankle. So we were able to lift it off and we're pretty sure it was just a sprain (he was able to walk out with just some minor pain).

Randy_QuenchMy plan is to get a more dedicated mountain ski, probably 105-110 underfoot, to take care of the deeper mountain days. The Vishnus would replace my Filthy Riches for strictly park and some early/late season shredding. I'm coming from the East so I'm not ready to let go of my skinnier ski roots just yet haha I need something to satisfy my east coast 85-90 waist lifestyle and the Filthys are just not my cup of tea.
Profahoben_212Sego Hamm, skinny, cambered, poppy.
Randy_QuenchI dont want a fully cambered ski, just one that isn't overly stupid rockered. Never heard of Sego until now. Was skeptical until I saw the early rise tip/tail, and I'll have to think about it given the price. Thanks for the tip.
PataguccimaneThis wind is wild. My apartment is shaking
Randy_QuenchShould I buy Vishnus?
I loved skiing on Armada Alpha 1s and then the Alpha X. Most recently skied the end of last season on Filthy Riches and I was seriously disappointed in them. Too noodly/not enough contact patch. Turns on the Filthy Riches felt like I was making turns on snowblades. I like buttering around and skiing park, but I like to lay my skis over and make some actual turns on the mtn now and then.
Do you think I'd be happy on Vishnus? Maybe a Candide 1.0 would suit me better? Thoughts/opinions?
.lenconif you thought on3p filthys were too noodly, you might feel the same about vishnu
Chubz. Can you go into more detail with why you didn't like the fr's? I've been on both skis so I'd be happy to give you my opinion I just wanna know more about your dislike with how the filthy skied
Randy_QuenchThis is what I'm worried about. But Vishnu states that underfoot the ski has some beef to it and is relatively stable.
I never thought I'd say this about a ski but they are just too soft. If you even remotely put your weight into the ski it folds in half, and im not even a hefty guy. I like my tips and tails soft, but to have some stability underfoot (which is why Vishnu sounded appealing). I think if the FRs had half the rocker they would ski better. But the insane amount of rocker mixed with how soft they are is just too much for me. Also, because there is so much rocker, the only effective edge on the ski is basically between the toe and heel pieces, so trying to lay down a turn on them feels like I'm on ice skates.

Titus69It's a Volvo dealer, will they piss test? It says I might be shuttling customers and obviously parking cars, and my parents are now saying I probably will be tested. Most of the websites job listings would say if they did, I'm just worried about my long hair, doesn't look very good for the business world.
veng_mi have long hair too and im trying to get a job currently. im still a kid so it probably doesnt matter but idrk. where i live people can be really judgemental n shit too. i get looked at funny sometimes lol it kinda sucks. have you ever had any trouble?

DeepskierKinda want a pair of wets. I don't know how they would fit into my quiver. Can you charge on them? cant imagine thats the case or they would be good in off-piste slush corn and chop? but as a spring, drinking, park ski? How would they compare to AR8s. Probably pretty different?
Chubz.youre from idaho right? I mean theres videos of a4 and wabs shredding pow at brighton with them on. Like if you get a bump weird and get sent back seat, theyre not so soft that you'll wheelie out or get squirly. I would definitely shred slushy corn with these without hesitation.
Like if you lean back and try to flex out on these, youre gonna be on your ass. If you want to do a somersault, all you gotta do is lean forward and do a hand stand and they'll spring you once you flex out the noses. If you want to haul ass down a groomer, these will send with a lil bit of chatter. If you want to do huge butters off knuckles, these are your skis. If you want a surfy fun ski that will hold up on pretty much any jump and thats softer than anything else on the market and youre gonna use it mostly for park, you will have endless fun on the wets.
.lenconI'm sold. I can't justify any more skis tho
Chubz.Trade u wets for Lizzie's but I think u sold them
.lenconFuk. I did sell them. Why you always gotta bring up trades after I get rid of my shit? You did the same thing with the kartels hahaha
Chubz.Bc I make rash decisions.
I regret selling my kartels but I got a car out of it so not so bad.
I need another pair soon, just wish they weren't 1 grand for a custom pair
