If I wasn't going to Utah and driving back home I'd probably be putting money aside for an end of summer trip to good for like 3 days. Ive been getting sudden cravings to ski every 45 minutes or so lately, it'll be worth it when I hopefully spend a month out west next season.

Honestly that part is the worst, when an ex thinks you owe them something just cus you were together for a while. You're just getting your shit together and there they are again, and again, and again. I had an ex that would almost sadistically do that shit all last summer, I'd be feeling better and happy with just being me and he'd show back up. All just to tell me how I was such a bad person for one reason or another, so that really sucked.
Keep your chin up, sometimes people/situations just suck.

2 top comes in 3 minutes before close, one doesn't even show up for another 15 minutes. They then took 20 minutes to order, and then they took their sweet time eating.
About and hour in they complain about their crab, they get new crab and have now been sitting there for 30 minutes casually cracking it.
They are here an hour and a half after close just hanging out....fuck off.

Wrapped up the rest of those free cookies last night and put them in the office fridge. Gonna go check out the fridge right now. Might go for the chocolate macadamia nut if it's there. Oatmeal is pretty darn good though.

Chocolate was still there. I was lucky I made my move when I did because someone had set all the cookies out on the counter and most of them were gone. There was just one chocolate one oatmeal and several pieces of brownie left. Only reason I think the chocolate was left is because I had wrapped it individually, separate from the the brownies and other cookies.
Very delicious, but the oatmeal cookies are better.
That vid of the guy front flipping without skis into his ski bindings has to be fake. If you look at the background there's evidence of image manipulation with a person appearing and disappearing into existence. Everyone in the comments is pointing it out but newschoolers' social media accounts keep promoting it. Like wut.

Yep, I think there's 2-3 of my original ski friends from middle/high school that still ski regularly. Maybe 5 total from the same group that still ski at all. Every season it seems like more and more drop off, even some of the ones that dreamed about getting sponsored or going pro, it really is a tragedy.
found a place to live and I'm beyond pumped. Dope log house on 8 acres with a creek, less than half a mile to the river, super close to tons of dope hikes, only an hour commute to work but the super pretty back way instead of driving the canyon with a million cars for construction or ski traffic. I can't fucking wait to move now.

My friends I hang with daily are also kids who have skied since we were like 4 and we pretty much plan to never stop, others have fallen off from skiing because things like girls, school, money, and other sports they now play in college and many of them weirdly enough started around 6th grade or later, many of the kids I know who have skied all their life still ski somewhat.
I thought the other day how nobody who was destined to go pro when I first started to dream of it at my hill, is or was a big name. Theyre all grown up and it sucks watching their old 2010 edits and to think they all probably work 40 hours a week and have to do shitty productive things on weekends just makes me never wanna stop more. Unlike most of them though, skiing is literally one of the few things I have in my life to enjoy and also that Im "good" at.
