We hired a couple new kids after the winter as helpers and the guy my crew lead and I got stuck with has some serious issues. He keeps having these crazy panic attacks where he almost seizes up and his hands and arms go all weird and his breathing gets fucked up. It keeps happening in the work truck, we literally can't drive anywhere beyond like a 5 min trip without him either asking to get out and walking back to the shop or getting so messed up we have to drive him back. I feel bad for the guy, he is super nice and all but we just can't keep him around unless he gets this shit under control.

Yooo that used to happen to me a ton. Idk what causes it for him but for me I didn't trust other people driving and I'd go slightly nuts being in a car not driving. Maybe have him drive if possible? I'd assume he can drive himself or at least be in a vehicle if he's getting to and from work..?
milk_manMake sure it's not the adapter that plugs into the outlet. Those go bad sometimes for whatever reason
It's either the cable or the phone, I tried multiple outlet things, my apple cable and outlet broke a while ago too lol. It's a Duracell cable so it usually works but the phones starting to get worse other ways.

Even if he is driving he freaks out, my coworker and I ended our day at the top of the lift the other day and he had the truck at the bottom so we asked if he could come pick us up and he only made it to the shop and had to ask someone else to go up. IDK if it's the shitty work roads or what, but we have a lot of windshield time in the summer and if he can't handle it he has to go. He rides up to work with his brother just fine. He has had a few panic attacks in the shop too, just not as many as in the truck. Maybe the stress of the job is just too much for him, but me and my coworker are the most mellow of the crew and aren't that hard on him.
I'm moving to Teton village in two weeks and it's psyching me out hard. I've been making so many good friends lately and now we are all going our separate ways.
Really hoping the transition goes ok. 18 years of my life behind me and everything is going to change in one day. But I'm very excited to expand my skill in terrain parks to real mountains. Also hitting up the Beartooth session for a few days which should be pretty fun.

Almost lost 3 of my best friends over the weekend.
Lost control around a corner on a dirt road on a midnight joy ride and sent the car into some trees. My buddy was in the back seat and broke his neck and completely shattered his elbow. My best friend who was driving came out unscathed. And the other came out of it with a few cuts on her face and her arm is bruised bad.
God damn it 2017 has been so rough..

10 more days till I leave for hood for the summer - stopping at A basin, Snowbird, Mammoth, and then Squaw on the way there.

Yeah he's gonna be okay, the arm is a more gnarly injury than the way his neck broke. He's already walking and stuff. I've heard it might be a year until he's 110% but he's going to be in a neckbrace for 3 months I guess.

oh, that's a bit of a relief I guess. Although breaking your arm that badly can be pretty hindering. My friend let another guy drive his car and he ended up almost killing my buddy via hopping a barrier and getting tboned by a truck.
if nothing else there's lessons to be learned from that scenario.
