I feel like a huge number of people up here in park city commute to the valley or work in PC/live in the valley so im no longer all hung up on commuting. you basically need to wherever you live in this state.


desperate times when youre crawling back to your old old job that you spent like 5 summers at in high school. ill take whatever I can get but I hope I can work some sort of lead position out of this.

Story time?

Went the Breck for a weekend trip a little while back. I woke up at 3am to drive to philly for my flight at 6am est and landed in denver around 10am mt. Lots of delays, thanks frontier... Got into Breck at like 1-2pm and went up to the mountain for their 3pm ski safety class. About half way through the class I passed out cold, face first to the floor. Altitude got me good apparently. Nothing like coming to, to a big dude with neck tats and piercings. Don't quite remember too much else that day, but at least I got my pass back... Gave myself a nice shiner and some chipped teeth.

TL:DR - Injured myself before I even put skis on. Sea level to 10k ft will fuck you up if you aren't properly hydrated and fed.

A kid parked next to me at China Peak on Sunday with a Newschoolers and Saga sticker on his car. I went over and did the call out to him and he had no idea what was going on. I ran into him later at the chair and explained to him what it meant and what the proper response is and I think he was more confused.

i've had john lennon/plastic ono band on repeat for the last few days. really really sick songs on there, very artistic, despite what one might think of lennon.

harvest by neil young (now on spotify!) is another great classic rock album for a long trip, pretty good continuation between tracks.

This girl that I just had a somewhat serious thing with decided to break up the relationship for the second time. Kind of out of the blue but can't say I'm surprised. I'm pretty sad about it because I really liked her but I think I'll be able to get over it pretty quickly. I'm going out of town next week so sh should be outta my head by then.

Right there with ya buddy. Going to Utah for a week next week and get to link up with lots of long lost homies, very stoked to get away from here, get my mind off of it. I'm still head over heals in love with her but fate has a funny way of weeding out the bad ones and having supportive family/friends really helps the whole situation. can't wait to be in the mountains again

Good for you man. I just wish I could shred this week. Weather at hood is gonna be a little crapppy til the weekend but at least I get to shred with the homies.

Girlfriend and I broke up today and I'm really not sure how I feel. I went for a bike ride after my evening class and had dinner and a beer overlooking Kamloops but now that I'm home and chilling I feel like shit. It was a clean and mature breakup but still. Just want to go back home for the summer and preoccupy myself

Today is my last day skiing at my little home hill with all of my childhood friends before I move. It's so surreal and I didn't realize how much of an impact a ski hill had on my life. It's been real, Granite Peak. So many memories in the last 18 years.

Depends on your insurance company, age, and driving record. You are def gonna be found at fault (100% of the time you rear-end someone). I would bet your rates are going up.

i was rear ended in an accident before (wasnt the one driving) and no one ended up at fault. but this is the first accident ive been in and my driving record is super clean. im trying to get the kid to not go through insurance and let me just pay for the expenses. I asked him for his number and the cop cock-blocked me from getting it and said i didnt need it so i had to write a letter and leave it at his address i had.

What a dick cop. Almost the same thing happened to me literally 3 days after I got my license. Was behind someone at a red, turned green, they stopped in the intersection to turn left (no blinker) and I tapped them at around 3mph. My jeep, no damage... Her civic, 3k in damage. Lucky for me a new cop was being trained that responded, no tickets, no fault, and I got her info so we didn't have to go through insurance.
