Fuck people who steal people's things. Honestly, who would sink to that level? I recently had about $500 worth of ski gear stolen from me, and let me tell you, it feels horrible. I'm now reluctant to buy nice gear again, not because of the price, but because frankly, I don't trust people anymore. I will get a locker every day, and a ski lock. I never remember stealing at ski areas being this bad. If it crosses your mind even once to steal someones's hard-earned gear, think how you would feel if you had your most prized possessions taken from you. Do not steal gear. Never.

Gaaaah me and my best friend were on our way home from a party last night, and since we had to wait 30 minutes on our subway we decided to go grab a cheeseburger at McDonald's while waiting. So much people in there, and the second we stepped out my friend was like "wheres my wallet??" She looked through everything (bags, coat, pocket) but couldnt find it. Turns out soneone in the queue had stolen it, and within like 20 minutes while we were searching for it, they had taken out 10k (roughly $1700) from her card..... fuuuck I hate people so much sometimes

Pop some advil, drink a Gatorade, and go skiing anyway. Gotta sweat out the hangover, man. You'll feel like shit for the first hour or so, but then you'll feel way better than you would have if you sat at home all day.

well we called the bank like 20 minutes after it happened this morning to close it,when we were sure it just wasnt misplaced somewhere, but they had already taken out all that money.
She filed a police report and shit, and now the bank is going to like evaluate the incident.
Since its not a credit card, but a debit card, its going to be a litte trickier to get the money back. Or, at least, it will take longer time. We'll see what happens. I feel so sorry for her though, 10 000 swedish crowns.... thats A LOT of money.

well urban FUCKING SUCKS.

first ever urban rail today we went at it on a quad kink.... slid out first hit got some gnarly bruises coming in on the outside of my thigh. luckily didn't eat it too bad onto the stairs but i can't say i got any good shots which really sucked.

It's all about moderation. I'm with you on living the experience rather than seeing it through a camera lens, but it's always nice to have a few pictures to look back so you can reminisce about the experience later. I went to Costa Rica a few years ago and travelled around the country with my girlfriend for almost 3 weeks with no real plan. We had a few set dates where we were supposed to get to our next destination/activity, but other than that, we just took taxis and buses places and went where ever we felt like and explored. Anyway...I only ended up taking about 100 or so pictures throughout the entire trip. Looking back now, I wish I had taken a lot more. There were so many interesting people we met, places we went, and things we did that I'll probably never experience again, and it sucks that I didn't think to take out the camera because I was "living the experience."

Sorry for rambling, just my $.02

i see what youre saying, but i still would say take just a few pictures and let your memory take the rest of them.
i have a friend who was just in Jamaica and he posted an album on facebook with waay too many pictures imo. He had a video of himself zip-lining through the jungle while narrating. If im zip-lining through the jungle i want to zip-line through the fucking jungle, and look around, and have a good time. not worry about my camera.
Im not against nostalgia because its always fun to remember good times, but if you take too many pictures you wont have any more good times to look back on, because theyll all be brought down by you concentrating more on your camera.

in regards to your story, i think the act of taking pictures on a fun trip with your gf has some value in itself. so in that way its okay i think.

Yeah... I just counted a little on it, and she basically lost 10 days worth of working (haha wow this made her sound like a whore, but I'm too tired for re-thinking the wording) so... yes its super shitty because its such a high amount of money, but... idk, I guess it could have been way worse. This is the reason I never have more than like $50 on my card, and if I run out of money/need to buy something more expensive I just transfer it with my little internet bank thingy

yeah but your buds gonna come out super fine. it will burn really fast so if your rolling with it I'd say dont use a pepper grinder. Otherwise, it would be prime for a vape.. but thats about it.

I fucked my co worker slash still do sometimes even though he's not my coworker anymore. But he's 24 and I'm 20, it's not a big deal if you don't make it a big deal. Maybe it's different when the girls older but you should just go for it. Fuck that bitch.

Ex moved out a month ago. Man, what a fucking monumental change.

My life is just 100% fundamentally different all of a sudden. Drinking a lot more, not grocery shopping, drinking a lot more, etc.

I know objectively that this is truly for the best, but that thought and understanding hasn't made the trip to my heart yet. It sort of comes and goes, where I'll have a day or two with nary a thought about her and us, but then it'll hit me in the chest, and I literally have a physical reaction to it. I look around at my walls and all of the knickknacks and pictures and just girlie shit is gone, the place feels empty.

I did laundry a few days ago and a pair of her underwear was in the hamper and I was just.....fuck. You know?

I'm thankful that I'm working a job I truly enjoy with some incredible people, because if not, I'd be in a really, really shitty place.

so this one girl (been discussed in this thread earlier) i just stopped talking to her, and she called me and i just brushed her off and told her to please not call me anymore. and my mom was in a conversation with her mom and apparently she has just been crying and really depressed since i told her i didnt really want to talk to her anymore. (she has a boyfriend, which still bothers me)

apparently i am fun to talk to, we talk about school, friends etc... but thats hardly happens now, and i was texting her and then she just stops texting me, and when i do text her she just comes off as sarcastic and she is trying to stop texting me. so i tried to do a few nice things for her because i knew she was doing some stressful stuff for her ballet stuff, and then she texted me like two days ago (i sent her flowers about 3 weeks ago) so i thought about it, and i was like oh shit she felt obliged to talk to me, so i just said, i dont really want to talk about this and then i just stopped answering her texts, and the last thing i heard anything about this girl is about two hours ago when my mom told me i kind of fucked this whole thing up.

was skiing for 11 hours today and helped rake the park afterwords. i kind of like raking and closing the hill. i think i might try and get a part time job as park crew and keep my full time job. i mean i'm there almost every day skiing, might as well make some money right?

has any one ever done this before? and does park crew take some dedication?
