Also, keep in mind that the students applying to Madison are not of the same caliber as those who are applying to the Ivies or other top-tier schools. I would certainly not rate Madison difficult to get into - maybe slightly more challenging than your local community college, but certainly not difficult.

.Fryim taking a gap year and im in the same position. i had plenty of fun in high school and now the lack of friends and things to do has been getting to me. i've just been logging as many ski days as possible to help the days go by.
Titus69It sucks, high school was fun for me but I didn't think how shitty it would be the following year. Knew I wanted to do a gap year midway through junior year but kinda regret it, but yes many ski days for sure which has been great but still don't get to ski with anyone/my close ski friends. Now I'm just working so I can live out west next winter with all my homies.

No.QuarterI honestly like spring days as much as pow days. Perfect day is sunny but the snows not too slow, and you get to just rip around and drink beer with all the homies in funny outfits and launch off of all the hits you've found throughout the season to softish landings. No lines like pow days and you aren't bummed when shit is tracked out and your legs are noodles. Bridger has been fucking incredible on pow days, but damn this place turns into party mountain on hot days. Snowbird looks fun as hell on slush days too, and some of my best memories from skiing are sending off of A basin's cornice in may.
Oh yeah, and slush bumps, slush bumps are my shit.
