MinggIsn't that just safety though? Or do they actually teach you about some of the science behind it? I wish there was a snow science elective or something at my school but there's not unfortunately.

Just in the last two years dealing with avy stuff has become a bigger part of my life, and it's very interesting, it's stuff worth learning about for sure. I love turning on the radio and hearing the avy report, going to avy night at the local high school where there are tons of families with little shredders learning this stuff. And it affects my day to day a lot, started raining last night and I realized there was no way I was going to be able to go to Jackson tomorrow, the pass is closed for avy work all day and my roof is dropping slides like no other.
This cycle is totally screwing the Tetons, I'm trying to be optimistic, but it's looking more and more like this is going to be the year of low angle hippy pow.
