lol I was thinking the same thing. I took a bunch of writing and reading classes as gen eds during my first year at comm college before transferring and it made future classes so much easier. Kids whine about having to write papers and I would just crank em out like it was nothin.

Sooo...instead of being in Montreal tomorrow night to watch USA-Canada WJC Gold Medal game Im gonna be stopping and staying in fucking Killington VT to see fucking Badfish. I wanna go to USA-Canada Gold Medal game. Would ski Thurs-Fri instead of Fri-Sun and spend WAAAAAYYYYYY less.
It's insane back in tahoe. In South Dakota everybody is perfectly capable...I was stunned by the amount of pure idiots down there....you get 500 inches a year you would think you wouldn't go full retard when it snown

I'm not sure if I saw this on a reputable source or not but I saw it somewhere on the internet at some point. Basically it was a bunch of driving stats and one of them said that a higher percentage of SUV's/Trucks/AWD/4x4 vehicles end up in ditches or involved in accidents due to speed than other cars. Which might be explained by false confidence in your car's abilities.
But yeah, basically you can have a good car but even good cars fuck up in snow and it's kind of scary how many people don't understand that. k i'm done now.

its true, and people are idiots which doesn't help. it was so bad Monday night that the giant UDOT plow trucks were off into the ditches. I saw a guy flip his trailer over today and nearly flip his truck as well.

Smaller cars are way easier to correct once you fuck up as well. I've driven trucks negligently a lot, and apart from sheer luck it ends poorly.

I agree about the tires, its also about how you drive. I drive a front wheel drive mazda 3 and it has been just fine. I only got stuck once when the town plowed me in my driveway and I didn't move my car for three days..

I'm so glad most people up here have a good understanding of avy danger and why terrain is closed sometimes after big dumps. Occasionally we'll get tourists who are livid that they can't ride the tram, but none of the locals get pissy if patrol takes their sweet time opening up sketchy terrain.
My dad picked up my mom from work at 7. She works 20 minutes away. It's now 8:15 and they are halfway home. Shit is fucked out on the roads right now haha. Is this what it's like in CO traffic? I hear a lot of bad things about i70.

I was riding up seventh chair for the day on milly after the 38" storm right around Dec 17th-18th and they were setting off dynamite right on the face in front of us, pretty cool to watch. I love hearing it echo through the canyons, even if it makes ya pucker up a bit every time

control work is fucking crazy to watch. saw a few charges go off above Daly Chutes @ deer valley this week and it was cool/scary seeing some slides and cornices come down. makes you feel good that its not your dumbass that sets that off, you know?

our avy control guys throw bombs pretty much any time we have a wind event or more than 3" of snow, so about 75% of the winter season the upper mountain doesn't open until later for control work. lone peak is sort of the perfect disaster area for slides, shit goes all the time up here. I love watching when they do what they call the "tram dangle" which is when there is a crew of patrollers in the tram cabin parked right above the big couloir and they huck a bomb out of the tram. Always a good show, even if it doesn't trigger a slide.
My car (VW Passat) with snow tires is better than my parents Subaru in snow. Sube can go through more without getting stuck, but mine handles better all around. Once you get snow tires you're so spoiled.
It's supposed to snow here tonight in NJ so... I guess the world's going to end and everybody's gonna die. 3 inches of snow will shut down the entire state.

By the end of this season on3p is gonna have the most stacked team in skiing. The only company right now that has a more insane group of riders in my opinion is armada. But I think on3p might have the #1 spot in my book at least
