DayManDamn are you gonna miss tomorrow? Hoping that 1-3 feet forecasted comes in closer to 3. Especially cause I missed that last storm, I'm hoping for some balls deep Utah fluff tomorrow. Would really be the best Christmas present ever.

DeebieSkeebiesIm super jelly of you though. Xmas shredding has been all time there in the past few years. December 29th, 2014 is still the deepest day i can ever recall. 30-40" of blower. I still get shivers thinking about my far cirque run with my buddy. We honestly did not comprehend how amazing it was. Total sensory overload hahah

DayManPlanning on catching the first tram tomorrow, any suggestions on where to hit first? I think I'm gonna get the Alta upgrade too cause I've never really skied over there and I wanna check it out
.Rybak.I couldn't even imagine skiing in snow that deep. It sounds tight as fuck though.

Chubz.Really not looking forward to our christmas party tonight. Super over the whole entire family and have the same conversations with aunts/uncles every year.

MinggDo fish get thirsty. That is on my mind
Bodhisattva_"Freshwater fish do not actively drink water, but absorb the water through their skin and gills. On the other hand, saltwater fish do actively drink sea water. Their gills process the water and take out the salt."
MinggInteresting. I just saw a commercial for like the voice command things and the dude asked how much blue whales weigh. I didn't hear the answer so I looked it up(those fuckers weigh 300,000lbs!! And are up to 100ft long!!) and then was intrigued. So I looked up blue whales and now know how a blowhole works and that a blue whales heart weighs as much as a car. And baby blue whales gain about 200lbs per day for their first year of life.
The reason I ask if they feel thirsty is because they take in a whole slew of water (and food) before filtering it and I just wonder if they feel thirst like we do. Or if their hunger is our thirst or vice Versace.
Damn it whales are so cool.
Bodhisattva_Whales aren't fish doe ??
I have been trying to google everything random like that when I think about it. No need to wonder about anything when I have the whole internet in my pocket every day.
MinggHaha you right. They're big fish though so close enough? Hahahaha.
That's so true. I've definitely done that while my friends were discussing topics I don't know shit about. It's cool. Like you have literally all the information ever at the palm of your hand yet most of the time we don't even realize it/take advantage of it.
It is kind of cool to get lost in thought about how things work though before you know how they work. When I was a kid I used to spend strange amounts of time looking at things trying to figure them out. Like trains and the tv or my toys. I still do it but I don't have toys anymore so it's more lame stuff like how people think/how our brains work. Or space. Or why this happens or that happens. Sometimes it's cool not to know the answer but to try to figure it out. When it comes time to look up the real answer it is more rewarding/fascinating in a way.
Bodhisattva_Well, I mean, they're mammals....
But yeah I feel you. I used to do the same. I always liked "How It's Made" because I would look at all these random items that people use every day and be like "who made that and why?" Like there is a company out there producing the screws that go into the hardware for bindings... who is that?
Minggnow know how a blow works
VinnieFturns out you don't just blow on it. crazy, right?
DayManBest Christmas skiing I've ever had. Skied snowbird from 9-4 today and it was so sick all day. I think the fact that it was Christmas kept a lot of the crowds away so we were getting fresh tracks till the end. I think the bird might be my new favorite mountain..
DeebieSkeebiesIts the go-to spot on a powday for a reason, man. crowds or not, you'll always find the deepest most wicked runs of your life there. Im glad you love it as much as I do, ill probably be a passholder there till Im old as shit an can barely ski. Its a magical place. LCC is just ripe with tons of legendary ski history which makes it even better. We're talking generations of powhounds haha. It still blows my mind Alta is one of the OG ski areas in the country. Pre-WWII shit. And Grizzly Gulch houses some of the most legendary booter spots that skiing/snowboarding has ever seen. Teddy Bear Crisis is my favorite movie because of how fucking hard they hammer pyramids, Chads, and all the other classic booter spots.
sorry to write an essay haha but I love the place waay too much. My friends get annoyed because its all I talk when I talk skiing. I gotta all the homies out there, they are lazy as fuck and don't wanna make the drive from PC.
SconnieGot accepted to Montana State in Bozeman... But I am seriously considering CMC-Steamboat as well. Cheaper, smaller class sizes, more flexible degrees, and even closer to skiing than Bozeman. Such a dope little school.
Anybody have some insight on Colorado mountain college?
DayManI don't know if the area has a name, but if you look up to the right when you're going up the first part of Gad 2, there's a huge area of trees that opens up into a short bowl at the bottom, and the trees are pretty steep and at the top it says "Cliff Area" and whatnot, you can get to it from the tiger tail (?) gate, but anyway my brother and I took at least 8 laps in a row through there. Found so many sick lines and it was basically untracked every time. I never want to leave haha I love this place.

.lencon50" pow day today. Still cant wrap my head around it. Should probably just quit skiing after today..
