.MASSHOLE.I'm a short 5'11 (I've been measured at 5'11 and 5'10.8) and I don't look good bulky, especially when it isn't a defined build either.
Sure, at that weight I could bench 245x4 or DL 415X3, but there is no reason for me to be built like that. I don't play any contact sports, ski racing is done, I just like eating and working out.
Only reason I actually lost weight was due to my shoulder injury, I couldn't lift so I started biking since I hated running.
I started lifting again after my shoulder got better and found my lifts decreased MAYBE 10 pounds after losing ~20 pounds, but since graduating college I haven't picked up a weight due to lack of time/ease of access to a gym. Sitting anywhere between 152-155 now.
Since I now bike a lot, gaining that weight back (even if it were to be muscle) would decrease performance on the bike

I've lost over 40 lbs in the last year year though so I'm super stoked.
Haven't felt this good in years. Dropped two waist sizes and dropped a size in shirts/hoodies/jackets.
It's funny last year I filled ski coat up bc I was so big, some days zipping it up was tight/little Challenging and this year it just hangs off of me, so much room.
foolmetwiceDon't do anything stupid. Back in the day I broke my thumb and tore some ligaments riding my bmx bike. Had a soccer game later that day and played in that, fell on it bad a couple of times. Ended up not going to the doctor until it still hadn't healed at all two weeks later. Was supposed to be in a cast for two months. Played baseball in said cast, only bunting as a batter and playing catcher and rolling the ball back to the mound (mind you this was little league). Ended up having the cast on for four months and using a splint for hockey for the rest of the yr. Ten or so yrs later thumb still looks a little odd compared to other one and aches pretty bad every once in a while
