shout out to everyone hammering thru finals. last year around this time my grandpa died and I couldn't fly back east to visit him in the hospital which was awful. Still feels weird its been a year this week. RIP yoda, you are still the smartest man ive ever known.


gonna take the Ravens out for a few spins tomorrow, figured it would be a good idea to get a feel for a touring ski before I actually hit the skin track sometime soon. Waiting on snowpack to get better, this current cycle that's moving in later this week is high-density which will seriously fuck up the early season layers that are already weak. Be careful out there folks.

have one on ig from before it was set. it didnt look too bad other than sitting really funny.


but, the diagnosis was that i mangled the bottom of my thumb (under the nail is in 3 visible pieces on the xray) kinda dislocated itself due to that and i tore the ligaments at the top really bad again for the third time. hands fucked, i cant work and im gonna ski again before the end of the week lol

the freezings coming out now and i didnt get any funky pain meds so im in for a good one

Well, I've applied to four jobs since I quit my research assistant job. Three of them gave me offers today (coincidentally my birthday), and I have a telephone interview for another on Friday.

I don't what you all think about resettlement, but I witnessed a foreign dude start off from being stopped at a stop sign, spin out the whole time and then run into a telephone pole sideways. It was a pretty nice Ford Fusion, probably AWD based on how fast he got sideways. What are these people doing? Was he doing it for fun or is he truly that reckless of a driver? We're shooting ourselves in the foot tbh......

Such utter bullshit. I have been living here financially independent for over 2 years now and working full time. But since I didn't register to vote until February of last year they said I have only had a "legal tie to the state' for 11 months. I'm fucking pissed.

I get all warm and fuzzy but also anxious inside. I love storm tracking on work computers and planning the next pow mission. This is going to be a killer weekend for us, cold as balls and super deep blower snow by sunday. I hate skiing saturdays itll be worth it.

Has anyone else ever thought about the idea that if you were to for example go on vacation by yourself to a place where nobody knows you, you would basically be in a new world. I mean, youre in a totally new environment and nobody knows you.

Thats kind of how it felt when I went to Nepal and Thailan. I mean my dad and brother and some others were with me 90% of the time, but there were a few times where it was overwhelming. Bangkok is very huge, especially when compared to a small town in Idaho:)

Yup all foreigners are bad drivers thats how it works. Especially refugees that have been resettled. i saw a muslim crash his car so I have proof

Anyone want this hotel job? Im done after tomorrow and back fulltime doing property management/other lodging shit but if sitting in a back office and maaaybe checking in like 4 people everynight for 8 hours/night sounds appealing, lemme know. I cannot stand a fuckin minute in here, i hate office work, grunt/physical work suits me better.

saw my paystub for this past 2 weeks and its about a third of what i expected. SLB needs to hurry up with the bonuses.

Got home from work at 2am again and dont want to head in until 10 at least. i'm scared they'll call my ass in at 6am for a random job in bumfuck. things are too crazy right now and I don't understand how west texas is profitable enough to be this busy. I bet the 120 hour weeks will just cause more people to quit and make the shop implode. You know its too much when 3 people actually LIVE at the office. Pretty sad that we work so much that its not even worth renting an apartment because you'll only be home 5-10 nights a month

I'm losing my damn mind. I've completely lost interest/faith in the tech startup I work for. I'm getting paid really well to pretty much just troll NS all day. It's hard to walk away from fat easy paychecks, but I'm so over this lifestyle. Being unhappy 5/7 days of the week is fucking stupid, why do so many people do it?
