DrZoidbergUnless you have a (huge) hookup jumping into a career right after graduating with a bs in chem isn't all that easy. I tried. They want experience but obviously you're not gonna have much of that seeing as you just graduated. There's also chemists who got fired when the economy went down and have as many years experience as I or you have been alive, who will be forced to take whatever job they can at whatever salary because they need a job.
I love chemistry and that's why I majored in it. it's fascinating stuff. I didn't pick it because I wanted a job in it or to make tons of money or something. A related certainly sounds like a better path than anything else at the moment though. So I feel like I have the same feeling as you. I just want to know everything there is to know, maybe stopping at nucleons because shit gets crazy if you go any smaller.

taylornickyI actually do have a pretty big hookup on a company that my uncle owns that deals with organic chemistry, which is basically my emphasis at this point. And honestly quantum mechanics fucked me up. That's as far as I wanna go Hahahaha

I loved quantum and was least into organic, interestingly enough. I loved it in p chem 2 junior year, and then I took grad level quantum chem senior year but they didn't offer the second semester of it, which wasn't cool. There were like eleven kids in it, me and one other girl being the only undergrads. Not hard to imagine why round two wasn't a popular course.
